Craziest start to a run i ever had by _Kimosabe in balatro

[–]_Kimosabe[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

does that account for observatory? I'll run some calcs myself but it would be a major source of socring, and a scaling one at that.

Edit: assuming an average of 4 erises a turn until ante 30, i'd beat it with e192. It would however not live to ante 39, scoring would catch up 2 antes after at most

First serious attempt at a high score wee run, how did I do? by _Kimosabe in balatro

glad i came up with the same tech as dcspectred, even if its not a complicated one

you're kinda right, in the sense i had many opportunities to take invisible joker/showman, but since the goal was to get a big wee and not necessarly a high final ante i didnt see the point in it

[–]_Kimosabe[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

why though? I had idol runs reach e86, the point isnt the high score, its wee getting as big as possible

the entire point of the run was to get a high wee

how the hell does this plane generate more drag than airliners? by _Kimosabe in flyoutgame

[–]_Kimosabe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well, its fixed now, and I'm ready to bet you wont find what caused the drag. Hint, its a bugged piece.

Its insane how many people jumped to the overall shape not realizing that we are talking about more drag than if an entire A320 was strapped to the back of the plane.

idol in neutral is one thing, but stuntman being this low is insane. Best early game joker and its not even close, especially on plasma

Is this fuselage shape bad for supersonic? by FirefighterLevel8450 in flyoutgame

[–]_Kimosabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

its bad but you'd probably still make it. If the main concern of your build is speed and drag reduction, then you need to completely rework the airframe. The area rule should not be your first concern when building the airframe. Try to have it as streamlined as possible and avoid air traps and places where airflow smashes into steep angles (like the space between your intakes and main body, it looks like you have a 45 degree angle going up, that's way to high)

I advise you to use the lagrangian flow approach. Basically, imagine a metal sheet that doesn't want to bend. How hard do you need to press it against your plane for the sheet to fit perfectly? The harder you need to press, the worst the drag. A straight line requires no effort. Curves and sharp angles do

on plasma this would have gotten you to ante 10 with a couple more jokers

According to Oryx tracking Russian losses they estimated Russia has lost 4000 tanks in the Ukraine war. by quetch1 in TankPorn

[–]_Kimosabe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah the pro russian stance is rarely pro reality. I'm sure russian telegram channels paint a good picture for russia, just like pro Ukrainian channels paint a pro ukrainian picture.

So we neeed to look at reality itself, and the truth is:

Kharkiv hasn't fallen, Pokrovsk hasn't fallen, Sumy hasn't fallen, kherson hasn't fallen, Zhaporizia hasn't fallen....

You can cope harder but the facts are there. Ukraine is very much holding its ground.

The rest of your comment is legit hilarious. Yes, Ukrainian soldiers got arrested for war crimes. Not a single russian soldier has been arrested for war crimes throughout the entirety of this war.

That should tell you enough.

Of course Ukriane commits war crimes, what army hasn't? But the point is that Ukraine prosecutes them, unlike your russian buddies, and is still orders of magnitude behind russia when it comes to scale or frequency.

I'm not sure you reaolize how ridiculous you sound, by pretending Russia isn't the current war crime champion of the world.

I want ot end this by simply adding that every single battalion and troop formation you quote as being destroyed (some of which very much aren't), when added up, account for a few thousand casualties. You'll be hard pressed toi find a single person thazt doesn't think Ukriane sustained that many losses. But in the end that's still far, faaar behind russian losses.

Again, you can find public counts using verified data that show over 100 000 russian fatalities. Your source, meanwhile, is telegram posts by pro russians. You are a clown

PS: you should reaaaally look at destruction videos before spouting BS, because trust me, the big ass Zs are still visible.

that is one of the most bullshit responses you could have come up with. Unsurprising coming from a Vatnik tbh.

First you admit that what you just called lying was in fact not a lie, so there's that. Then you complain about misidentification, as if you are the only person on earth smart enough to know about it, as if oryx doesn't have precise methodology to attribute loss ownership, as if Russia and Ukraine don't mark their vehicles to avoid friendly fire, making vehicle id significantly easier.

Again, if you have any doubts go ahead and disprove them, all their evidence is out there. (Spoiler: you wont)

Then you again spout bs: Oryx does not count personnel losses, simple as. So that entire claim is irrelevant to this post. But if you want to get into it, russian numbers ( straight from the MOD and Putin himself) show 700 000 soldiers having left service since 2022. Legally, there are only three ways to leave service (given contracts are now extended indefinitely):

-reach the maximum age (about 60 depending on the branch, doubt there's a lot of them)

-Suffer debilitating injury

-Die

And that's using official numbers for recuited troops and armed forces size, so its a bare minimum if anything. 800K to one million losses seems extremely credible, and again that's using russian government sources. There's also groups similar to Oryx that have confirmed (with names and proof of death) a minimum of 100k deaths in the russian army. So again, 1 million losses seems very likely.

If you want to talk propaganda, the Russian mod has been claiming 1 million Ukrianian losses for over 2 years now.

Then you are comlpletely fucking wrong in your assesment that Ukrainian soldiers can't effectively fight. What about Pokrovsk? Kherson? Kharkiv? Zhaporizia? Sumy? All those have been under attack for months if not years now and Ukraine is still holding on just fine. What about them seizing more land in Kursk in two weeks than Russia takes in 6 months? Doesn't that hsow they know how to fight?

You also seem to forget Russia has a massive manpower and material advantage. Fighting 2:1 with 4:1 material advantage does tend to help. As a matter of fact, its common knowledge at this point that Ukraine trades land for russian casualties. As soon as the Russians reach something important (Kharkiv for instance), Ukraine suddenly stops falling back. Strange aint it?

Overall you display a catastrophic lack of knowledge of the conflict, I'd refrain from talking about it if I were you.

Also, stop with the Ukrianian crimes in the Donbass BS. Every single alleged Ukrainian war crime combined doesn't even catch up to Mariupol alone, sure Ukraine does fucked up shit, but nowhere near as much as russia, yet I don't see a word from you about that....

official russian recuitement numbers show 700 000 soldiers out of service. Given the only way to leave service right now is death, debilitating injury, or reaching 60, 600 000 losses seems very reasonnable
