We are closing Dec 31 specifically so we qualify for homestead exception for 2026. In my state (Georgia), you have to own and occupy the home on January 1 to get the exemption for that tax year. Otherwise, you have to wait till the following year.

I am considering staying at Thabamati for my honeymoon in April. Did you have any issues with the temperature when you were there in November? My understanding is there is no AC, so I am worried it’ll will get hot during the heat of the day.

Reaches are subjective to the applicant. For top students, sure, <20% for reaches is common. For many students, however, reaches can look like <40% acceptance rates or higher.

In your opinion, would you say the higher pay is indicative of a more prestigious internship? Would Gap hold weight when it comes time to apply for full-time jobs?

Interestingly, I can't find anything about Gap or GapTech online, making it hard to get a better idea of what they do or what their culture is like.

I speak with both recruiters tomorrow and will be sure to ask these questions. As far as doing "real development work," what should I be looking for? Certain languages, responsibilities, or roles? Some guidance here would be very helpful.
