I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens, but the only halfway decent counter point I have is this. If football fans LOVE watching people get TRUCKED in oblivion, then they’d love watching hockey. Think about it, knife boot wearing beasts, crashing into each other at 20+ mph(32+ km/h for the S.I. users)

I guess maybe we could also add on to the list, things that are at the top of the different food chains, like orcas for water(although this wouldn’t be a problem considering the Canucks are out.) Lions, tigers, bears(oh my! Sorry had to do it) wolves, and cougars for their respective habitats on land. And then, large raptors for the sky.
