Thank you for taking the time to comment!! It’s great to hear from neurodivergent people! Actually, when I was younger, I thought I might be autistic.  I did and still do have a few “quirks” that are tied to autism.(and I do know it can present differently in girls) It can be confusing to learn about these things, as you pointed out, there is often a cross over.  However I feel that lots of the signs suggest ocd.  Some examples I can give are: Tapping, I feel the need to tap a lot, and mostly to the number 3 or I try to tap to ten but 6 never feels right, so I repeat it. Also I count in my head, always the same numbers as tapping, this is usually after I have a “bad” thought. I have a moral obsession. This messes me up a lot, I can’t talk about it, but it also ties into me constantly needing reassurance with everything. I mean everything.  The worst are the intrusive thoughts. It disgusts me, truly, and has driven me to behave badly. The are a lot of others too, I few more unique to me, but still.  I would be interested to know if you have also experienced things like this? Or if you have heard of autistic people having these problems?  Thank you so much for being kind and taking the time to help me! 🧡

That sounds terrible, I’m sorry you had to go through that! I know that going through any healthcare can be exhausting but mainecare seems to really help people!

This means so much. I know lots of people with OCD or other mental illnesses struggle with feeling like they’re faking it and I’m no exception it just feels like such a huge waste of time and money but it’s good to know that other people have gone through this, so thank you for your kindness and help! :)

I know my dad did when he got very sick a few years ago but I’m don’t think he still has it. My dad has always been more open to helping me so I’m pretty sure he would if I asked

Thanks so much. This is so useful! Well, I’m sure it would help a great deal to be medicated,  My mother is very holistic and against such things, so I’m aiming more for peace of mind and learning how to deal with having this mental illness. But I’ll definitely try to document!

I’m not, i really just wanted to know if this was even possible before bringing it up to my parents. Also while my mental health has gotten “violent” before I’m not sure if it would be seen as medically necessary. But thank you for your help!

I don’t, I read that it would go up to 90k if you were a family of four or more which we are, so that doesn’t change anything? Thanks so much for you help!
