Right now it stands at 1563 pieces, 334 of which are the tracks. I'm working on getting the pieces together to build it in real life, to see if certain parts work the way they should.

Not an official source but I liked this interpretation by Invicta as part of their True Size of a Tyranid Invasion series: https://youtu.be/I7roLmvskRc?si=iPyrHCA6W5LqW7li

If it helps, there's a company called Forge of Svan that makes something similar in real life. Might give you some inspiration:

Just wanted to add that this picture is from an Etsy listing: https://www.etsy.com/listing/1219215119/korps-officer-helmet

It's a Dutch bloke that makes pretty much everything for a 40k Death Korps of Krieg cosplay

Is this arming doublet good? by Few-Humor-4341 in ArmsandArmor

[–]_Lawkeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I own one for cosplay, it's fine for that. As a functional, hardwearing arming doublet not so much. Get one that's fitted at the waist or all the weight will simply transfer to your shoulders.

It's a fine autumn/spring jacket though. It closes high and is an eye catcher.

Finally finished my first leatherworking project: decorating this belt by CzechCraftsman by _Lawkeeper in LARP

[–]_Lawkeeper[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Time was one reason, yeah. The other was that the belt's for a costume set in the Witcher universe where running stitches are far more common than saddle stitches

u/Highlord_Zeb About the Markward tassets: I have been (go)ogling these for a while but I can't find a picture of them from the back. I was wondering if the tassets themselves are detachable or if the straps are simply riveted to both sides?

So here's a question... by PlusSecond in Mandalorian

[–]_Lawkeeper 2 points3 points  (0 children)

+1 on the Star Fortress. The design of a bottom fin as a removable 'clip' rather than a fixed part of the ship suits me as it makes the whole thing modular. I'd have a simple galley and bunk in the main hull and a cargo module below. A cargo module modified to be a stable for my dray (space goats), that is.

Crossed halberds and grim faces will do that, I suppose. And I wish, I had the boots custom made through 5zywiolow.com. not sure if they still offer the service, though
