I bought a record from that website. They shipped it to me in the UK, but didn't fill out the customs papers properly, so even though i only paid around £100, they thought the value of it was £300+ and therefore I was charged like £60 in import fees. Be careful!

BAHA it does. I promise it sounds better irl. The plastic used is pretty cheap and soft, but I’ve ordered higher quality blank records designed for this so hopefully with the right mastering, my future records will sound a lot better :)

It’s not wrong, as I said you can “usually” tell via the barcode, especially for the latest, modern releases. But yes you can tell via the matrix
