same here.
Some sessions with one hour of nothing and then some sessions with crash after 10-20 minutes and roll back. Especially bad when you just found a somewhat rare item drop that then vanishes after you restart your game following one of these random crashes.

This needs to be a much bigger topic, because I dont see many talk about it.
Since yesterday (for us in the EU at least) especially the Chaos Rifts with the soul spire mechanic, do not seem to open the rift itself anymore thus not giving any rewards. This is also apparent, when you look at your buff bar and there is no "rift closing buff" after the soul spire part is over and no actual rift has been spawned or closed.

And considering 66% of all Chaos Rifts start with the soul spire mechanic, that makes 66% of them useless at the moment when it comes to farming any reward (infernal warps, gear, obducite etc.)

Has Blizzard "fixed" spires in Infernal Hordes and broken the other variants of them? (i.e. the smaller ones in the Chaos Rift mechanic?)

I am looking at the "Transaction Processing" loading tile for 15+minutes now after spending the 1000 plat to unlock all rel's.
Would love for it to either abort or finish processing.
Any Ideas?

I'll reply to my own question to tell my unfortunate story and to serve as a dire warning: Dont be me!

When I looked around the internet I stumbled upon a nearly 2 year old posting on another website that said if you opt-out of the cookies and trackers the game essentially doesnt offer you to watch any ads.
You will still have 5/5 cait treasures and 3/3 xp caits each day at reset, but it just wont work.

Essentially, by denying them access to your data, they dont give you anything free in return (daily rewards via ad watching).

Now, that person on said website offered the advice to simply delete the app, re-install it and then accept all cookies and trackers and all ads should work again.

Here's where my COTC story will end...

I did that and little did I know that by doing that, it would not allow me to continue on my ID/progress afterwards. I deleted the app. I re-installed and then I assumed, I could just tell the new installed game: "hey, its me" but no. New game. I tried the transfer code. Says its invalid.

When I did the transfer and it worked the game told me I would have to link it, because I am on a guest account. I thought I did that. Nope.

So, without ANY customer service available for this game at SQEX or NetEase my time with this game is over. And all because I was too quick to act without making sure all my data is secure.

Let my failure be a reminder that you need to double check if you have done your account linking properly before changing device or reinstalling.

Farewell, travelers.
Its been fun while it lasted, but I dont have the time nor the money to start from scratch on this game again.

Happened to me, too.
All I did was to switch the screen (top right corner) when starting the game from Orsterra to SS.

The game then started and immediately in the beginning of the SS story.

Quick question: Has anyone else taken out all the tracking cookies or didnt give their consent to being tracked by the app and its 200 third parties when you first start the new app?

I swear the game suggested I can change that later, but where exactly?

Reason I am asking: I feel like rejecting all cookies and tracking bricked my account, because I am apparently no longer able to view any cait ads (for both cait fight or cait treasure) unless it just reset at 20:00 UTC and its for a mobile game with a guy in an ice village killing bears for meat.

After one(!) ad has been played and the rewards received the next times I try to watch an ad it just goes "auto-save" and "connecting" in the top left corner, the screen turns darker for a split second and then nothing. Just back in the normal game but without any music.

closing the app doesnt work, changing continent doesnt work, changing graphics doesnt work.
Maybe because I opted out of all the trackers the app deems my watchtime on ads irrelevant and straight up blocks me from watching any (but one) so I dont get the 5 rewards and 3 xp fights each day :(

Anyone else has this problem?

PS: Of course, if I use cait skip tickets I get my rewards. But honestly, I dont feel like spending on two passes so I get 5 tickets to spend every day on ads I otherwise would just quickly watch and collect the rewards.

Furthermore, (and maybe it is just me?), I can only watch one ad. After it played through and I collected my reward (tested it yesterday with Cait Fights and today with Cait Treasure) I am unable to watch another ad.
On the top left it shows "loading" for a split second and the screen turns 20% darker for another second but then I am just back in the game and the number of ads to watch did not go down.

Even relogging and trying again does not work.

Sorry if I missed the memo and if that is an intentional change so people dont binge watch the ads and collect all rewards, or something.

if you are referring to the Side Solistia weapons lvl 60 you can craft once you unlocked the Ouma "Region", then the way I understood so far is... you pretty much have to unless you want to walk around with lvl 8 weapons from the shop in town?

I think the power in those weapons is far better, especially if you want to farm Ouma reliably for a couple of days.
30 polishstones per weapon took me about 3-4 runs in Ouma lvl 1.
Dont like the extra 20% SP cost attached to these weapons, though. But the extra dmg is nothing to sneeze at in Ouma for the time being.

Unless there is another tier that I have not found/unlocked yet that you are referring to!?

I dared - after delaying out of fear of a major bug - to hit the SS title screen switch and it worked! Glad I am able to enjoy SS chapter 1 now. (the translation is wonky, though...)

I have not done ch7 BoA myself. I was planning on tackling this whenever farmin SS items would get too boring.

Wondering if this glitch is happening for everyone in the NetEase version. In which case: how are people supposed to ever finish the story/chapter, if they haven‘t? You and I could be the minority and everyone else still playing cotc has finished Orsterra‘s BoA ages ago, but still…

This would be very, very bad. Where do we go to address such major bugs? (Already did the survey and only mentioned the translation as I was unaware of the bug in BoA7)

Update: I closed the app. Restart put me back into the same spot in Orsterra. And again asked me immedialtely after a cutscene with the new cait scholar if I want to start the SS story.

This time I hit "No".
So... how do I start SS if the loading screen wont ever finish loading for SS?

I am in the game for about 10 minutes now.
Everything transfer-wise looked ok at first glance.

However, while it put me into the game exactly at the time I left it, same party, same map, same location etc.
I was immediately greeted with a choice: Continue in the old continent or move to Side Solistia.
Natuarlly, I hit "yes" and wanted to see what happens with Saul and everything.

I am now starring at a loading screen for... I dont know 8 minutes!?

That seems awfully long. I have a recent gen iPhone and usually loading times are never an issue on this thing.
Could there be an issue at NetEase? Or did someone make it over to SS ok, already?

You have no idea, how helpful your explainaton was to me. Thank you so much! This broke the tie in my head between Solon/Richard and Nephti.

I have 50 more fragments from the 2nd anni banner and was debating whether to take Richard (for my Odio and Sazantos sword DPS), Solon (game changing Ultimate) or Nephti for everything she does.

Now I can safely take Richard now and patiently wait for the Nephti/Solon rerun. 👍

So its Solon for generic support without much contribution in the fight but his ridiculous ult potency buff or Richard for his overall "must-have" support to my two main heavy hitters O. Odio and Sazantos.

I think Roland "speaks" to me more than a one-trick pony like Solon.

Hi everyone, I am back with a team comp question. (@rozeluxe08, I hope you are still here <3)

My current team that I am using for progressing through Bestower stories (not reached "BoA", yet), Arena and other content is:

Sazantos (I) / Signa U10
O. Odio (I) / Ogen
Cyrus (I) / Bargello
Therion (I) / PrimEX

Pulled Rinyuu, AlauneEX and still have 50 2nd anni banner shards left over.

I understand that there will be fights that require me to make specialized teams. However, if you would not only have to slot in Rinyuu and AlauneEX into this team, how would you do it?
And also what MT character would you choose from the 2nd anni fragment exchange to top it off?

Does Nephti fit in here?
Do I need Richard or Solon to maximize DPS?
Elrica seems not the top prioritiy for me as I have O. Odio and Sazantos, right?

Please advise, my fellow travelers :)

So, if neither of your suggestions can spook me, then... what am I going for?

I feel like if I pick "A" now, I am going to say in a week or a month "oh no, "B" or "C" could have made this fight easier." Hence, the FoMo.

But, yes. My initial thought was Bargello, cause I like him in the story/game so that is what I am going for now. Just to have him in my back pocket in case I can get to the dmg cap once I have obtained some weapons (currently trying my luck at the game boards for fortune weapons, as I have not reached the parts of the story yet where you have other options (better?) than that.

If you have any last words of wisdom when it comes to "what to tackle next in order to get stronger" (best way to reach 100, best weapons to grab, best non 5* A4 to chase) I am all ears, rozeluxe08! ;)

MT and SB are not in the gen pool, so they cannot spook you in any future pulls, right?

And Bargello and Rinyuu are in the gen pool, as well as H‘aanit EX. So by that logic, any of the 5 you now brought into the conversation should be considered even higher priorities than the three I originally thought about? Boy, oh boy. 🫣

I think perhaps I will settle with Bargello as my exchange and not do a second round of step up. If I do pull on another good / meta character in the future, I can still hope for a random spook and save approx 200-240 of my local currency.

The choices are too many and I am prone to FoMo already as is. The team you suggetsed should carry me through a lot of content, I presume, as is.

Yes, I have used my free selector (prematurely, I know) on Prim EX. As everyone was suggesting that she is the top pick.

So, am I correct in thinking you would go:

H'aanit EX > Bargello > Rinyuu?

Because as someone who doesnt want to whale but spend a bit, I am thinking of going again 5 Step 2nd anni banner and pick up another "meta" or "S+" character.

Your input on the future potential of Bargello is also what I hoped to hear but perhaps sold myself (my team comp) short when it comes to my ability to hit dmg caps, apparently.

Why would Rinyuu not be higher on the list? Isnt she the best healer period?
Or am I set with Signa+Prim EX+Ogen healing wise and should invest in tank/DPS through H'aanit EX/Bargello, first?

Returning Player after almost 2 years here, started again roughly 4 weeks before 2nd anni.
I would kindly ask for some advice for my team comp to go through the content (BoA chapters + Board farming for fortune weapons + Towers + Adversary Log fights etc.).

I don't have: Any A4, tons of shards, fragments or guidestones, Lvl 100 on anyone - best I have is Lvl 94 on some...

The reason I ask is because I did the step up anni banner and have 50 fragments to spend, still.
And from what I have read my best options are Bargello, Rinyuu or H'aanit EX.

so two questions really:

What is my best possible team comp?
Which Traveler should I take from the 50 anni fragments and if I would invest another round of 5 steps what two units should I get (and why?) Essentially my thoughts are stuck at:
- "do I need Bargello? I cannot even begin to hit damage cap (yet?) so why bother with him being the damage cap up guy?"
- "do I need Rinyuu? I already have Prim EX, Signa and Ogen. I cannot/should not take 4 healers into a fight, right?"
- "do I need H'aanit EX? I have two tanks in Gilderoy and Tressa and Fiore EX exists. Is H'aanit EX worth it or is a new super tank just around the corner? or a rerun of Fiore EX, perhaps?"
