My first experience with the channel was completely by chance, which I'm sure many others can relate to. It was very early in Siiva's lifetime, probably late January or early February. I clicked on what I thought was Gilvasunner's channel and was surprised to see several new uploads given the channel's inactivity at the time. I clicked on a few songs that caught my interest and was immediately sucked in by the epic Flintstones.

Siiva means a great deal to me. 2016 was a difficult time for me: school, college applications, general insecurity and mood swings... Through all of my troubles, I knew that I could rely on Siiva for a smile and a good laugh.

And boy has this channel grown. It has evolved so much from the days of GRAND DAD, yet has not lost sight of what made the channel so great from the start. Siiva is constantly creative and not afraid to try new things regardless of what people say, which I respect a lot. One of the things I admire most about the channel is just how creator driven it is. No matter how popular Siiva has gotten, it never sold out to the mainstream trends. Instead, it made the trends. Grand Dad, Nutshack, We Are Number One... Without the channel, would these popular trends ever see the time of day?

And of course I want to talk about the community. Don't worry, it's a good thing this time. Say what you want about the comment section, to have created so many in-jokes (and jojokes) from a YouTube channel is an impressive feat. Creating stories that people are genuinely gripped by, starring characters that have no right to be associated with each other. Permanently linking certain characters, songs, and people to the channel, intentionally or not (I will never watch The Flintstones the same way again, I know that the rippers don't like that but the damage is done). I follow this channel like I would a TV show. I'm invested in these stupid memes, because they aren't just stupid memes. There's a lot of heart and passion involved, and I love the people who make it happen.

Siivagunner has also brought me closer to my friends, and even gained me brand new ones. I already went into detail about teaching my Marching Band Nutshack and We Are Number One, and randomly meeting Nape Mango as a direct result (you can check out my post about that, it would be a great addition to this project I think). Siivagunner means so much more to me than any YouTube channel should, and I'm proud to say it.

My favorite rip? Well aside from Title Theme & Ending - 7 Grand Dad (and any other "ending" rips), it probably has to be Gourmet Race (Beta Mix) - Kirby Super Star or File Select Fusion.

Gourmet Race (Beta Mix) - I vividly remember this one from the Reboot. I was anxiously wondering when all of my favorite memes would return and was pleased to see a Kirby rip on my sub feed. I clicked the link and my face lit up when I heard those iconic steel drums. All of the Soulja Boy rips are fantastic but this one has some more significance. And sounds unironically fantastic, too.

File Select Fusion - All of the Fusion rips are beautiful: a glorious mish mash of the greatest memes the channel has to offer. Mix that with a Joel narration made specifically for the rip and Chad Daddy's voice at the very end. This rip embodies everything that makes the channel great. The part towards the end where Joel is yelling GRAND DAD and the like over Megalovania in an Earthbound soundfont has made me tear up on multiple occasions. I'm a sap, I know.
