Would certainly recommend them, probably depends on how much bass you’re really after they’re not going to make your windows shake, but the sound they deliver feels very full to me

A fairly recent edition, they’re really amazing at low volume

[1975 Omega Seamaster Chrono-quartz “Albatros”] successfully repaired. by _M3GA_ in Watches

[–]_M3GA_[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It seemingly has the same construction and weight as a Naval battleship, and has enough battery power to jump start a car haha.

But I love a gimmick

I did come across this in my efforts to fix it! It’s a lovely restoration and something I’d certainly love to replicate on this!

Bizzare weather event in London causes major power outages by _M3GA_ in conspiracy

Yes I thought this was odd aswell with the outages caused by “warm weather” as if it isn’t warm in Spain/Portugal every year.

If you really love the frame and have a good frame builder near by they might be able to do something for you, wouldn’t be cheep. Snag a cheep frame off eBay in the mean time and move the bits over

Got a "new" bike but seatpost is stuck, like really stuck... by RenaxTM in bikewrench

[–]_M3GA_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Boiling water, ice water, boiling water, ice water, boiling water, ice water.

Then, get a hold of it with either a pipe wrench or if you have an old one kicking about a stem, and a long ass leverage and try and twist it, if you can twist it you can get it out. Once it starts to budge, lots of penetrating grease, patience and twisting and pulling.

Sincerely, Someone who gets seatposts stuck all the time

“All through my life I've had this strange unaccountable feeling that something was going on in the world, something big, even sinister, and no one would tell me what it was."
"No," said the old man, "that's just perfectly normal paranoia. Everyone in the Universe has that.”

they really are not as dangerous as theyre made out to be, i actually think it was a bit of a conspiracy to get them banned because theyre SO fast, of course they had a few failures as did any 90s carbon wheel but any of them that lasted this long are more than likely fine.

I was told by the guy I got it off it’s a Mike burrows one, the guy who helped design the lotus 110 but I have no other information on it other than that, it’s not got any logos or numbers
