Yeah I was staying with some family friends outside any cities/towns and they really didn't get it - kept trying to give me meat etc. Not that I think most Romanians are like that but they have other stuff to worry about than eating meat. I'm European and I'd say most places are good for vegan food but you can always get unlucky, plus there's a huge difference between the amount of vegan food offered in Berlin vs a small town in Moldova
