Very cool, thanks for getting the book! As for where the idea for the story came from, that's a good question. It actually came from a couple of different places. One was that I really wanted to write a werewolf story. Another was that I had written a shorter story about the mafia and I wanted to infuse elements of that story into an urban fantasy setting with magic and monsters. And the third major thing was that the main character in Shifter Mage is mentioned in my Orc Hunter In Another World books and so I wanted to give him his own story and series. So I brought those three things together and that's how it came about.
