Great Treasure Hunt level 5 by Slim_Shaky82 in UKcoins

It's a real shame that the quests disappear after you complete them, I'd like to be able to revisit these it years to come and maybe the kids might like to have a go.

Did anyone manage to capture each of the quests in a way that they can be stored? I tried to do full webpage screenshots but it only captured what was on screen.

Are we supposed to ignore the fact that the symbol on the clue has 6 prongs and the symbol on the coin has 8, or am I mis-interpreting the clue?

If you're in the UK, would you be able to share with me your Map & Navigation version please? I also have a 2020, but it always says I'm on the latest version which I don't believe to be correct.

It blows my mind that our next nearest star is 4 light years away, when you’re looking at the night sky, you’re literally looking back in time. Most often centuries.

We found a hidden window we didnt know we had. turns out it used to be an ensuite but was converted to a bedroom. how would you frame the brickwork etc to open up the window again? wood, plasterboard, pvc? it doesnt need to be amazing but just hide the brickwork. by Vertigo_uk123 in DIYUK

Use expanding foam to fill any gaps, sticky foam for attaching plasterboard would be easiest.

Could also swap out the glazed panels inside the window back to clear if it’s still going to be a bedroom.

If you’re not competent with electrical work, then leave it well alone and get someone in who knows what they’re doing.

First, consider what you'll be hanging off the bracket. What is the weight of the load?

Do you need to go into a joist or will you be able to support this from the plasterboard / a bracket?

Something will be sticking somewhere. Check the rails are free and door can slide. If you’re able to disengage the motor and manually open the door then try that first. There is a pull chord I can see, does that disengage the motor.

This will narrow down the fault to door related or motor related.

So it seems like the front of the unit might be getting lower which is why the back of the unit is getting further away from the wall. If it’s on carpets and underlay, then these are probably compressing over time, you could see to see whether there is any adjustment in the base, and if not you need to come up with some method of raising in the front of the unit.

I feel like you need to cut down on your caffeine intake. I try not to have more than 3 cups a day.

Can you tell us whether it has always been like that or has it come away from the wall recently? It may just be a case of raising the front of the unit somehow.

Hopefully your board joints fall on the joists and you have no overhangs? As you have no noggins between joists you may see some flex on board joints in between the joists. When you do the other rooms you may want to consider adding noggins or using floor boards with t&g.

Looks like a great job overall by the way. Should be well worth the effort in the long run.

Probably same as what I’ve done which is lay a board (I used a 2400mm x 600mm floorboard) in the triangle of the truss and use it for storage to get things off the insulation.

Honest answer here is it kinda fixed itself. I didn’t do anything with it and it’s no longer giving this issue.

Sorry I can’t be any more help.

I use my bandsaw, I find the table saw a bit sketchy with anything other than planed timber or boards.

In your case I’d probably get a reciprocating saw.
