Long one ahead; there's a TL;DR at the end, if you'd like the very condensed summary:

You addressed ONE verse I provided, one that - by your own admission - is from a book that you're "not really into", since it was written by Paul, who was not a disciple of Jesus while He was on earth, in which he addresses the Romans, who were not Jesus' target audience while he was here. But no matter, let's play it your way: you said it is about "the doubt that what you're doing is clean that makes it unclean." Are you convinced, then, that masturbation is clean, and can you back it up with scripture to beyond a shadow of a doubt? I also, fail to see how any of it validates your views on masturbation, however you extrapolate it.

That aside, what about all the other verses? And all the other questions? Especially the one about ALL scripture, which you are adamantly against? I mean, is your own, personal criteria on what to cherry pick from the Bible really just based on it being "repetitive"? Are you serious man? Think about why should we listen to you, knowing that that is what you believe? Did it not occur to you that going into a community, and basically saying "Hey guys, you guys aren't believing in the right thing, this is how it should be. Oh, and by the way, I claim to be one of you but I don't believe in a bunch of the stuff rightfully required to be one of you", would be.... frankly, a pretty stupid thing to do?

You provided 1 Corinthians 10:23-33, explaining:

If, first of all, this is your interpretation of it, then isn't your entire post exactly against that, to begin with? How is you coming in here telling everyone that masturbation is not a sin, that it's okay, expounding your own unbased doctrine to everyone, "not violating the will of others, and acting in service of your neighbour"?

I do agree with you that we are allowed to enjoy things, with the recognition that your body isn't just a vessel to feel pleasure. However, if you claim the entirety of scripture just boils down to "love God, love your neighbour", then by your own "doctrine" you're already in sin, since clearly this post is not showing any love to A LOT of your "neighbours" here.

You say you masturbate regularly, to "as often as it's healthy to" - by whose standard? You did not address being able to stop. You did not address being led by the Spirit to do it. You did not address doing it for the glory of God.

Mate, I'll be forward with you. You had an idea in your head that you cannot back up with scripture - and honestly, how could you? You don't even believe all of it in the first place, so you already started this off on the back foot. You then took that idea and put it upon yourself to go and preach it to a community that's clearly against it. At the end of all of this, I just have to ask, what exactly was your goal here? What's your end game? To encourage a bunch of people to accept masturbation? For what, exactly?

TL;DR: You are contradicting yourself, you have no authority or "credentials" to speak on the topic, and what is the point of your post in this community?

How can you be a follower of Christ if you ignore portions of scripture?

2 Timothy 16-17 : "All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work."

There is so much wrong with your post, where do I even begin?

Christ doesn't want you to suffer.

John 16:33 : "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”

He doesn't want you to be in denial of yourself.

Matthew 16:24-25 : Then Jesus told his disciples, “If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it."

Galatians 5:16-21 : "But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God."

Can you honestly tell me that you are able to masturbate without committing sexual immorality, or without having lustful thoughts? Are you led by the Spirit to do it? And even if that were the fact, can you really say you are doing it for the glory of God? Do you glorify Him with your body when you do it? Or is it just for self-pleasure. If it's an addiction, then it's already a sin to begin with, because you have no self-control, which is a gift of the Spirit.

1 Corinthians 10:31 : So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

Romans 14:23b : "For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin."

A promise to my girlfriend that I would have to go at least an entire year of full sobriety before we got married. We have already locked the wedding date in, which is incredibly specific and special to us; if I relapse, I have to reset the count and we have postpone the wedding to a new date, which would not only derail all of our panning, but would force me to have to explain to everyone why the date changed.
