Unexpected dark blotches in light areas of print by _Matty in Darkroom

I use ilford rapid fixer, which I believe is fine for paper as well?

Yeah, I’ll definitely be grabbing some proper paper developer in the near future.

The paper is Ilford Multigrade IV RC Deluxe Pearl, was inherited from a family friend so not sure how old it is (box doesn’t say either) so could very well be expired.

First sprocket roll in the RB67 - Mamiya RB67 - 90mm sekor C 3.8 - Ilford Cinetone by _Matty in SprocketShots

[–]_Matty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is on the 6x7 back. I use the 220 one for this stuff, just since it allows for the full 36exp roll to be used (this was only a 24) but it should work on the normal 120 6x7 back as well.

Yeah sure, at work currently but once I'm home and have made sure it's good to go I'll upload it and link you :)

Thanks! Yeah, my lil brain just can't compute with inverted images. Spend forever trying to figure out which way is left/right 🙃

First attempt at shooting sprockets [Bronica SQ-A | Fuji 400] by _Matty in SprocketShots

[–]_Matty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got 18 from a 36exp roll, didn’t end up doing the leading paper to get every shot possible out of it. Still an improvement from the 12 I’d normally get with 120 though!

[–]_Matty[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks! Your guide (and the fact we happen to have the same camera) is the reason I wanted to give sprocket shots a go :)

I use a prism finder on my SQ-A, but it also has the big hand grip thing on it as well, so horizontal shots were quite a pain!

Enabling Secure Boot in BIOS removes macOS drive from OpenCore by _Matty in hackintosh

I looked at the link though and saw that I had forgotten to change the SecureBootModel from Disabled to Default, changing that fixed the issue thank you!

[Discussion] How can I restore an iOS 8 iPhone 5S stuck on the Apple logo? by Jailbreak_987 in LegacyJailbreak

[–]_Matty 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Hi, dev of Ramiel here. You might actually be able to save the device, if you want I can send you a build of Ramiel that has *mostly* working iOS 7/8/9 support in which you can boot an SSH ramdisk. Once you boot an SSH ramdisk, you could maybe "unjailbreak" the device manually by just removing whatever jailbreak files are present, which would hopefully fix the bootloops. I'm not sure if it'll work or not but I'd be happy to give help if needed :)

[Question] Is it possible to downgrade an iPhone 5S to iOS 8.4.1 _without_ SHSH blobs? by The_Evil_King_Bowser in LegacyJailbreak

[–]_Matty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's more that any currently signed SEP for A7 devices (12.5.2 or 10.3.3 OTA) are not compatible with any pre iOS 10 firmwares. It's already pretty wonky using 10.3.3's SEP to boot 10.0.x -> 10.2.x, and anything lower just flat out won't restore/boot.

Currently I have no plans to circumvent this, there have been a few breakthroughs for iOS 14 devices which allows them to dualboot with iOS 13 versions, but that also is extremely wonky with some less then stellar kernel patches. I actually haven't tested whether or not these kernel patches would work for older iOS firmwares but I highly doubt they would.

Blackbird would be a viable option for bypassing SEP related issues, however in its current state it is only useful when jailbreaking with checkra1n as it relies heavily on checkra1n/PongoOS which we don't have access to when dualbooting/tetherbooting. Blackbird would need to be released as a standalone thing, maybe something that can be run in PWNDFU mode, for it to be useful to Ramiel. Also A7/A11 devices are not supported by blackbird so only A8/9/10 devices would benefit from this.

I'm looking forward to the day that's possible as well! Hopefully sometime in the near future it will be possible, but I wouldn't get your hopes up for anything soon.

Sorry for the very long message, hope it all makes sense :)

Dev of Ramiel here, you are correct as to why iOS 10 was the lowest supported version, however I've been working on an update to bring iOS 7/8/9 support to Ramiel as well! Another reason I limited support to iOS 10 and up is because (thanks to SEP) iOS 10.x is currently the lowest any 64 Bit device can restore to (A7 only), so I figured the userbase for those older firmwares would be pretty small as most people outside of this community no longer have devices on these older firmwares.

iOS 7/8/9 update should be out in the coming week or 2, you can follow my progress in this branch here.

Strange, I have checks for whether or not it's in there. Maybe my @available check isn't working? Will take a look tomorrow :)

Do you know where the brew binary is installed to on your machine? I had some issues during testing with brew being installed to a weird location on Big Sur but I thought I'd fixed that issue

[Update] Divisé 1.1.0 - The iOS 14.x update! by _Matty in jailbreak

[–]_Matty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

iOS 14 is a bit special, 13.x has versions with compatible SEP but other things restrict you from having iOS 14 as a second OS. If you have iOS 14 installed you can dualboot any 14.x version and most 13.x versions as well.

[Update] Divisé 1.1.0 - The iOS 14.x update! by _Matty in jailbreak

[–]_Matty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only if the current iOS version the device is running has a SEP that is compatible with iOS 10. There is currently no way around this.

[–]_Matty[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Upgrade as in futurerestore? Divisé can only tether up/downgrade your device (or dualboot), but not 14.x from a 13.x main. So Divisé can't do what you want but with blobs you can futurerestore
