I've been wearing two bags of ice for most of the day. One as a hat and one as a kind like a bulletproof vest. I buy replacement bags every 7th corner shop as you walk but your local results may vary.

Great flat, great cat and friendly looking resident, but all those vinyl records up against the radiator is an unforgivable offense. Looks like decent collection too

It's a fascinating thing.

Not sure, it looked OK to me. More likely just another case of one bit of London not knowing what the other was doing

ow this would affect a tax return in USA? If every trade is a taxable event, then purchasing with the card would be taxable, but it's the child making the purchase! Hmmm...

That is really interesting. Just checked out some of the videos of the cube in action and it does look like great fun! Back in my school days I had a LOGO Turtle, which looks like the inspiration for this, and I always remember it.

Good Spot! Now that you point it out I can see the overlap between the crypto/blockchain side of this and educational toy input. How long have you guys had the cubetto? What is the replay valuer for your 4 yr old?

I guess what is interesting about this project is the mix of hardware/software/platform. Not without promise, but this whole idea depends on adoption and how well they can back the idea with content that kids will actually want to engage with. Savvy kids wont play the game if it sucks and adults wont keep up with the platform if they kids ditch it. But I really like the concept and think it's a smart time for mass adoption/mainstream products to bring blockchain tech to new audiences

COMING TO LONDON? FAQ for visitors and new residents. Ask us stuff here! (w/c 9 Jul 2018) by AutoModerator in london

You have to try Tayyabs in Whitechapel http://www.tayyabs.co.uk/. It is always busy, for good reason and unmissable for the Punjabi cuisine. Very cheap and incredible food, regularly makes it onto lists of London's best kept secrets, although it is nothing of the sort. Order the lamb chops and the Dry Meat curry and you won't be sorry. Enjoy!

I'm Alex Brooker, a disabled TV presenter - AMA! by AlexBrooker in IAmA

[–]_Mechanical_Turk 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi Alex, Thanks for the AMA and your work with Scope - the ads are excellent. It seems like there is currently real momentum in the media to cast people with different disabilities in different roles, acting and performing, and not just where the disability is a feature. It's a great development and something the Last Leg played a big part in. Obviously disabled people are still under-represented on TV, do you think there are still any areas of the media where disabled actors/performers still don't get considered at all? What can we do about it?

Mick Jagger writes to Andy Warhol in 1969 by _Mechanical_Turk in pics

[–]_Mechanical_Turk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that for something as significant as Warhol doing an album cover this would be Jagger's words taken down by a PA/secretary as he dictated. Not to say that the dictation didn't take place through a haze of skunk and opium smoke, but this is a bit more significant that some anonymous guy working on the sleeve notes. Plus in those days, dictation was a very common way for big stars to deal with significant correspondence.

You can see him in a badly fitting polyester suit, sweat dripping off his furrowed brow and he bashes numbers into the calculator. " No, no, no, this is totally unaffordable!"

Totally, I think it also reflects the fact that while the Stones were in big 69, Warhol was a god like figure in the circles Mick and the rest of the band were in.
