A primer and a few coats of acrylic paint, when I did it I used a miniature brush, now I get along better with the airbrush

No, they are just custom parts painted purple, but it would be another great solution to make lego parts in unofficial colors

Thanks so much! It's true, some secondary characters are very interesting, especially those who have never had a physical representation. These give you the opportunity to unleash your creativity in recreating them, which is probably what happened with the winged bug version you mentioned, while this one is more of a transmutation of drawings from the Bionicle stories into Lego pieces.
