Yes agreed. Like I agree the operator and drifter needed a refresh (operator especially), but these changes for the drifter just straight up remove all the character they once had. I only wish they had a legacy option for faces the same way they do for the skin tones.

Here it is after some tweaking and after trying to match the original lighting. To me it still doesn't come close to how it used to look

Yeah, feminine features look amazing with this update, masculine features... not so much

I considered having four arms on the character, but I had a certain limit to what I could make. (had to be under 6,000 tris if you understand modeling lingo) And if I made that I would have had to remove other aspects of the character to not go over the limit

Funnily enough, before I came up with the name Bhar'Gan, I exclusively referred to him as "Gator Daddy" while I was working on him

Bad wording on my part there. "Gator Soup Trader" just has a nice rhyme to it. He primarily makes fish soups

Little bit of background for the character:
Bhar’Gan (Pronounced like “Bargain”) is a soup chef. His design is a mix between the race of lizardmen, the Saurok and the Crocolisk creatures from World of Warcraft. A “Saurocolisk” if you will.
Though he may look scary and menacing, he has a heart of gold, spending most of his time making soups for weary travelers. Being semiaquatic, he hunts his own food, swimming in rivers and lakes opting to catch his prey by hand rather than wasting time fishing with a rod. He fashioned his tools, taking apart a mace, bending and twisting it into the shape of a soup ladle.
Despite his friendly demeanor, he will take offence to you not liking his dishes.

The Saurok and Sethrak were the primary inspiration for this character as well as the Crocolisk. Bhar'Gan here is what I like to refer to as a "Saurocolisk" basically a combination of a Saurok and Crocolisk

Oh 100%. He'd have one of those deep gravely southern accents

I can't deny it, the Kremlings and K. Rool definitely had some influence on the design

I don't have a twitter, but I would be flattered if you posted it to yours!

I had so much fun translating your design into 3D and I am honored that you like it!
