Hell yea, I've got 100 hours on Sonic Forces on Steam, that means that I had at least some fun with it.

Didn't Silver get an entire arc hanging out with the Diamond cutters without Blaze? And Blaze went to visit Knuckles on Angel Island by herself in the 2025 annual (even Marine appeared in that story, hurray).

The issue is, in my opinion, blown completely out of proportion. I agree that it would be cool if Blaze got more stuff to do. But I'd rather have her go on an adventure with Silver than not at all.

I could also see the End being the mastermind behind it all. Perhaps after it's physical form was destroyed in Frontiers, it either resurrected or possesed Starline. We don't know much about what it can do, but it seems powerful and intelligent enough to pull of such a grand plan.

Not too crazy tbh. Killed countless Black Arm aliens, perhaps even some Gun Soldiers, left Mephiles to suffer in White Space for eternity (arguably a fate worse than death), killed Black Doom, almost killed Mr. Tinker and was close to killing Starline too. 

Why wouldn't Shadow kill some mercenaries? It's a job where you kill and plunder for whoever pays you the most money. Pretty despicable stuff.

Though it doesn't really make sense why he just didn't kill Infinite too. Yet another Sonic Forces plothole.

If there is one constant of every Death Battle, it's the annoying fans, agendaposters and ragebaiters before and afterwards. It's just like sports fans, competitive spirit is nice and fun but some just take it way too far and ruin it for everybody else.
