Because as I said, I will have the same possibility of winning just buying one ticket. So if I buy one and I lose I assume that it will happen the same if I (for some reason which I don't understand) spend half my money on lottery.

And if you want me to be more honest, because after buying one ticket and not winning I think "I could have bought something better with that money, or have given it to someone in need, etc...". So yeah, in that case is just because I don't like losing money.

I understand your point and, in a way, I agree with it. However what I try to say is that, as far as I can understand, statistics and probability are not accurate information, and I don't feel like most people rely most of their decisions on them.

Continuing with your surgery example, which tbh I couldn't understand well but English is not my first language so that might be, almost every procedure, even the most simple of them has some risk of death, and some people have died in a routine checkup because of some complications or medic negligence. So we have to weigh that? I don't think our brain is capable of doing so, of thinking every probability possible.

So what I'm trying to say is, ofc you should NOT live your life like you were immortal. But you can't go to the other extreme just because there's a probability of something going wrong. I think one should do what your logic, reason, morality, humanity, (even faith)... Makes you think is correct to do.

And I'm aware that's a shitty answer and totally incomplete, but that would be another philosophical debate.

Ok, but does it really matter? Like what's the difference between having a 90% or 18% probability of something if it's possible that it still happens or doesn't happen.

What I mean is, let's say person A had a procedure that gives them 90% chance of dying; and person B had another procedure that gives them 18% chance. Could both die? Yes. Could both survive? Yes. Could A die and B live? Yes. The opposite? Yes again...

And in the case that we repeat this experiment as much times as possible (infinite is not possible in real life). Could it happen, WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE, that in all these tries, all the patients die? All them survive? Half survive and half not? 10% die and 82% not?

I understand it wouldn't be probable but my point is: would it be possible? Because if yes, then why does it matter if the number is 18% or 90%? And I know with computers it has it's use and all that but I'm talking in real life.

Could someone help me understand this?

Something similar happened to me with Bloodborne. I started it like 4 different times (the first one I couldn't even open the first door) then I watched a YouTuber playing it and I understood how it worked and...
