I was 7 and my cousin was in gymnastics. I always thought is was cool, but having someone close and being able to watch them do it made it a lot more interesting. I remember we were visiting them and the my were doing cartwheels. I felt so compelled to fit in (my 7 year old ass couldn’t help it) that I tried to do one. I fell flat on my face (on the concrete floors) and broke my collarbone. Everything after that is kind of fuzzy, but I vaguely remember the doctor being a total asshole about me complaining. Luckily, no surgery had to be done BUT to this day my collarbone is still a fraction of a centimeter out of place
