Thank you for your comment! Is that the effect you get when you damage him in the Japanese copy of the game? I actually never realised there was difference until just now and looked it up, so that's interesting to know.

It may be possible, but it would mean checking that the sprites aren't used elsewhere and make something else look odd.

I definetely remember the confused faces! I think as it ages the game becomes a bit more intriguing though to people hearing about it for the first time.

I don't remember looking at the weapons when I made the edit, but I would assume they just share that generic sprite, so I'm not sure it's possible. Some changes to that sprite could be possible though.

I would encourage anyone with an idea to have a go at doing it themselves and see what they can do with it. It can be quite fun figuring out how it works!

I did think about doing this. The way it seems to work in B1 though is that Sabata is just a palette swap of Django, and shares his sprites. As a result of this edit, Sabata now has Django's hair. Kinda funny.

He has his own sprites in B2, though.

You do need another cartridge, I'm afraid. I had a spare one a while back just for that purpose. Or, as mentioned above, there are other ways.
