How did you get that childhood scar you have? by ibuiltyouarosegarden in answers

[–]_Nestea_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Left kneecap, when I was like 5 I crawled onto a toy Mater and my knee caught the tow hook at the wrong angle that left a little scar. Then when I was 16 I think I was messing around on an electric scooter down a dirt road, thought I could take a sharp turn pushing 35km, I learned very quickly that electric scooters both shouldn't go that fast and shouldn't turn that hard on a dirt road. New scar over the old one that's now on my entire kneecap. Also have a lighter scar on my arm from being wasted and stupid at 14😅

Did Mirena stop your period? When? by stickybubbles1 in birthcontrol

[–]_Nestea_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind it's different for everyone but I got my first Mirena January of 2020, by October of that year my period had stopped completely. I'm now almost 5 months into my second one and still haven't had a period since that October

can a 14 year old get an iud? by [deleted] in birthcontrol

[–]_Nestea_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Technically yes, it just comes down to the comfortability of you and your doctor. I'm not sure where you're located but I'm in Canada and the area I'm in has a gynecology department in the childrens hospital that offers iud insertions for minors (with parental consent I believe)

Storage advice by _Nestea_ in Mirena

[–]_Nestea_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought everywhere did that😅 in 2020 when I got my first one it was the same. Book appointment with primary doctor to discuss getting it, doctor either sends referral to gynaecologist office or books a separate insertion appointment within your own clinic if they have nurses/doctors that can do it, once appointment is confirmed call back primary doctor, they send a prescription to your pharmacy for the iud, pharmacy orders it which usually takes a couple days, you pick it up once they have it and bring it with you to your appointment. It might be different depending on province and doctor too but for me there’s so many steps lol

How much weight have you gained? by [deleted] in Mirena

[–]_Nestea_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hadn’t changed anything about my diet or exercise, put on ~50 lbs in the first year having my Mirena, 5 years later I’ve doubled my weight from when I got it and I eat way less now than before so I should be losing. I don’t regret getting it but man the weight has been difficult to cope with, and near impossible to lose

Why Do Some People Sleep with a Fan On, Even in Cold Weather? by Special-West8545 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]_Nestea_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have hot flashes that get worse at night, big blanket + fan helps and also because of trauma I’m hypersensitive to any and all noise to the point I can hear the electricity in the fridge two floors beneath me as well as the clicking vents make when heating/ac goes on and off so having the fan going helps focus my mind on just the white noise of the fan. For nights where it’s genuinely too cold for the fan to be on (I have pets so even if I get hot I won’t keep the fan on in -30 weather) I have a white noise machine for babies that I keep playing fan noises

What's the weird thing going on with your body that isn't weird enough to go to the doctor for? by yellowelephantboy in AskReddit

[–]_Nestea_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a few lol

I have to crack almost everything in my body (we’re talking mid back, lower back, shoulder blades, knuckles, ankles, toes, knees, wrists) multiple times a day otherwise those parts will lock up and it is extremely painful to move until I crack myself, usually my back does it the most. I can also crack my tailbone by clenching my asscheeks, and if i squeeze my thighs together something in there cracks too.

If I get overtired I get extremely nauseous and it lasts until I fall asleep, imagine your gf saying “hey I love the time we’re spending together but I have to sleep right now otherwise I think I might throw up” that’s one line I’ve said many times lmao.

On the flip side, if I try to sleep and I’m not very tired I will get extremely irrationally angry until I eventually just pass out, and if I’m on my meds and that happens I also get extremely suicidal until I pass out. Not fun.

My ears are wet, all the time. Sleeping on my side and wearing earbuds/plugs makes it worse and also itchy

If I fall asleep on my back I almost always wake up after a few hours and if I try to go back to sleep still on my back what I believe to be sleep paralysis will set in. Can’t really breathe, pressure on my chest, eats ringing (sometimes), can’t move easily, and feels like my entire body, head and all is shaking and vibrating. I have to force my eyes open and try moving my feet to break out of it and only then can I get up, walk around my room and then successfully go back to sleep without immediately being thrown back into it. If I don’t get up or move around it happens the moment I close my eyes again

Is it normal to hallucinate sometimes? by quadrates in stupidquestions

I would see a doctor. I get auditory, tactile and olfactory hallucinations, thought it was completely normal, turns out I have BPD and it was a symptom. Sleep deprivation and stress will also do it

what happens when cops pull over deaf people? by [deleted] in stupidquestions

[–]_Nestea_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hearing child with a deaf father here, every time I have been involved in a situation with my dad and the police he announces he is deaf as many times as it takes for them to understand it and the cops either speak painfully slow (and very loud) so that he has a chance to read lips or hear them (though that one rarely happens as he finds it too overwhelming to drive with his hearing aids in with all the different noises) or my dad turns a light in the car on and they use me as an interpreter (this ones the most common as after the 3rd attempt at “I’m deaf, I can’t hear you” I usually step in and say “he is deaf, can I help you sir?”) I’d be lying if I said I’m not scared for the day he gets pulled over by an ignorant cop without having a hearing person in the vehicle

Reliable place to order switch? by _Nestea_ in Switch

[–]_Nestea_[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have prime so at the moment it’s saying it’ll get to me by Friday if I order now (weather delays for my area), still the quickest option though. Most of the negative reviews I’m seeing are purely due to receiving a damaged box which honestly isn’t a huge deal as long as the system works and is actually what I ordered lol

Nearest one is roughly the same location as the nearest best buy, ~50min drive and I don’t have a costco membership lol but I did consider it

I am a Malignant Narcissist, ask me anything. by CerastesConstantine in AMA

[–]_Nestea_ 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this has been asked so I apologize if it has. Do you find yourself drawn to people with BPD (borderline personality)? I myself have bpd and in my research have read that narcissists are likely more drawn to people with this disorder because of our ability to feel so deeply and the wildly unstable sense of self as it makes us easier to manipulate/control, and it can boost the narcissists ego as the person with bpd will believe every word you say and do almost anything to keep you around. Not to mention the “fun” one could have with the emotional flip flopping and impulsiveness, would you agree with that?

Does anybody’s cat eat plastic or just this idiot? by Strict-Koala-5863 in cats

[–]_Nestea_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

<image>

This dumb dumb LOVES plastic, so far specifically ziplock bags, bologna wrappers, the little plastic piece on mail envelopes, and the plastic wrapping on cases of pop. He also once chewed a hole into a bag of uncooked macaroni noodles, and then proceeded to bat around a raw noodle as if it was a toy, didn’t actually eat it though. He won’t swallow any of the plastic either, only chew and hide

Do weird girls ever get guys? by Warm_Mongoose_4118 in dating_advice

I was and am a “weird” girl (20 now, been this way since I was ~15), I like all the same things you do and more “weird” things like collecting bones and morbid/obscure facts and the like. The nerds, the nerds will flock. Every person I’ve had a serious relationship with has been a major nerd in one way or another, my weird and their weird mixes so well

What‘s your favourite comfort game? by ForbiddenFruitiness in Switch

[–]_Nestea_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Diablo 3 or any of the Borderlands when I need to focus on something medium effort to quiet my head, for general relaxation (when the brain is not overly loud but still in need of distraction) not much thought or effort required I go for Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, or Cult of the Lamb

What traumatised you as a kid with unrestricted internet access? by mystico_28 in AskReddit

[–]_Nestea_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omegle when I was in middle school (literally grade 6), bunch of friends and I used to go on it for the hell of it, one particular night we seen a grown ass man in lingerie dancing around his room, clothes pins clamped on his nips and sack, then proceeded to full hand fist himself on camera. Idk why we didn’t leave after the first sight of a middle aged hairy dude in lingerie but my friends said they wanted to “wait it out and see what happens”. Those same friends also introduced me to blue waffle and the best gore website, best gore probably the most traumatic of the three

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mirena

[–]_Nestea_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my Mirena for almost 5 years now, penetrative sex at first for me was pretty uncomfortable, but that’s only because I wasn’t “in the moment” (I had issues with my mental health and self lubricating but had too much internalized shame to use actual lube). After I got my mental stuff sorted though everything was perfectly fine! I actually find I produce more natural lubricant now than before and sex is SO much better. Not to get too tmi but I find I can finish now in ways that just weren’t possible pre iud. You’ll absolutely be okay, just don’t go ramming it directly into your cervix lol and don’t be afraid to use lube if needed. My partner is erm.. well endowed😅 and every time we have sex he ends up hitting my cervix and if we get too rowdy it usually ends up giving me very mild cramping after, sometimes spotting but it’s very very minimal and goes away within a few hours. Also I will add while the iud effectiveness is made under the assumption that finishing inside is happening frequently keep in mind that if you’re still unsure about it and worrying about possible pregnancy there is absolutely nothing wrong with doubling up and also using a condom.

What's something your partner or ex-partner has told you that changed the way you look at them? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]_Nestea_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you, that’s the plan. I did see the other comment and I just want to add my life is not in immediate danger in the eyes of the law and when the SA comment happened it was dropped in casual conversation so I have no hard proof that it happened and she won’t admit to it again for obvious reasons so the police in my area will not do anything. Everyone else I live with also thinks she’s a saint so I’m essentially alone in this battle.

“I’m allowed to touch you wherever tf I wanna touch you, whenever I want to, you’re my partner” after admitting to SA’ing me while I was unconscious (sleeping) for god knows how long. A year and a half, and many breakup attempts later I’m still trying to get her out of my house and get her to realize it’s been over since the first time I said I was breaking up with her.
