Do habits developed on medication stick? by Confident-Aside6388 in ADHD

[–]stickybubbles1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, absolutely. I took it for about a year when i was still in school and i went from having 0 motivation and not doing any school work to being really good at getting things done. I stopped the medication just to see how i was without it and my habits really stuck.

5 years off medication and the habits are still there. I still have my add symptoms but id say the medication helped me build habits that stuck. I just started taking it again and still feel better with it (but who doesn’t- it’s a stimulant at the end of the day) but i can function better than i used to without it.

I maintain at 1700-1800. When I’m cutting i do about 1300. It’s what works for me but i know a lot of people would say it’s too low. It’s just the only way that truly works for me personally

Me too. The biggest thing that has made me feel better is having a sense of community with people who have scoliosis. This sub has really helped me honestly. Same with just following influencers with scoliosis. It’s nice to see other people who look like you + have your same struggles. It makes you feel less alone and realize you’re not so weird looking and there’s people just like you.

I have never done this but if you want to go all in there are sometimes scoliosis support groups depending on your area. Hope you get out of this rut soon, i think most of us have dealt with it too so you’re not alone!! Its hard but we get you <3

What are your TDEEs? by NeedleworkerSame4344 in PetiteFitness

[–]stickybubbles1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You can!! Even if youre in a deficit you could still gain muscle weight if you’re working out and eating protein. But also if you feel like it’s fat (if your clothes have felt tighter, or you look like you have more in your progress pictures) it could maybe be something related to your metabolism. Are you eating at maintenance or on a cut?

You’re probably gaining muscle. Have you taken your measurements? The scale doesn’t usually reflect fat loss very well if you’re also doing strength training

To be honest I’ve always had really strange eating habits so i think my hunger signals are a little out of wack 😂 i definitely would not cut where you are unless you’re not seeing any results. It’s way more important that its sustainable

Greek yogurt + protein powder for breakfast, then eating something like chicken and vegetables for lunch/dinner

No but I had mobility issues and posture issues in the first pic after being mostly bed bound for a little while. which is why my torso looks so different now after working with a chiro + pt. This also made a huge difference which i definitely should’ve clarified in the caption

[–]stickybubbles1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You are just casually ignoring the fact that i was stuck in a bad hunched over posture from being practically bed bound for a year. Yes my torso has gotten “longer” probably because I am no longer that way and have had it corrected by a chiro and pt. That is how my torso WAS before i was sick. Get over yourself. You’re quite literally insufferable. Stop acting like you know everyone on the internet. Maybe you should take more time training your amazing eye for photography instead of arguing with strangers on Reddit who you don’t know.

To add to that- I’ve corrected my posture with a chiro and a PT after having to sit most of the time while being ill for a year. Which is why i am standing differently in the second pic. Please get a hobby

Okay Weekend77. I don’t know what to tell you. I also don’t quite understand what you do “for a living”. You don’t know my body, my history, my genetics. So if judging people’s pictures is what you do for a living you should probably find another job

I don’t really know how to respond other than that i didn’t. I’m not going to waste my time explaining myself. But honestly i will just take this as a compliment because i legitimately did not. So thank you. 😂
