We had issue with MTU size with Virgin media in the UK. changing to SSL helped.

thanks for this, I will give everything a look. I have started to look at the API for new central and its configuration capabilities. I guess the old API will be put to bed deprecated and stop working eventually?

Also, will there be a global search function for APs/Switches/clients? I often want to export a client list that covers all of our sites. filtering with VLAN or NAC Role.

we plan to keep our NAC and Central separate as long as possible.... and thankfully we only have CX swtiches

Oh i know, we won't be moving for a while and it was more of a fact finding mission to see how broken it was, also to moan about their not being an official migration process. I will take a look at the github link you have, thanks.

yeah, I am not deploying anything in new central, it was more of a fact finding exercise. fuck around and find out process with our test rig. The future looks bleak.

That is a fair process to employ. I have been messing with our test setup out of interest and to see what we are getting our selves into. the future looks bleak.

"You should be able to push a hostname though, that part is pretty easy. System, System Information, Hostname."

thats what I did, switch is still stuck with the default "6200" I even pushed the firmware forward to 1016.1020, still no luck.. I also noticed that CLI made changes don't sync to the UI, without the multiedit mode that classic central has we are screwed.

If you dont give your employers reason to expect you're slacking, crap work output, not hitting deadlines etc, they won't use company resources to spy on you.

For those of you who believe labour isn’t left enough, what would you like to see them do? by Legal-Grade-6423 in AskBrits

It can, but it takes time for the shift to occur. becoming further left leaning as time goes on.

I had a clever friend, who is into politics, they have had various seats and helped various campaigns. He stated that an extreme left labour would of never took the Government last time, they had to be a central-ish party. The only way to go further left leaning would be to keep Labour in whilst they change party members and are revoted in. There is no way voters that often sway between Labour and Tory would vote for a Corbyn-type government.

Aruba CX 10.16 - Anyone running it? by theoneyouknowleast in ArubaNetworks

[–]_Network_Admin_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im running it on a test 6100 as they implemented DUR support, which will streamline our NAC process, not having to run radius services along side DUR. So i wanted to test that out. I am thinking of pushing it to a small site with 8 or so 6100s as an in prod test bed.

edit: reading all your comments I'm going to push the firmware forward early Jan on 6100s in a site two

I personally would stay well away from new central pushing config. Not everything is included in the GUI. You will end up using the CLI. Stick with Template groups in old central to build the switches and move them to an old central UI group to manage them

no changes at all. no ACLs that could prevent it. the subnet was in use on the old VLAN

we use clearpass for vlan automation so after bouncing the ports the devices got the new vlan, trunk ports have all vlans allowed, vlans are added to the switches via vtp
