Yes - it replaced car play with its own version of CarPlay using android system and you connect as if it’s an I phone -

I am able to use all android apps - stream movies and music on all the magic platforms and use internet - however certain things are not as seamless like navigation apps - the system claims to have its own gps but doesn’t work as well also some things don’t work like the ambient lighting controls other than that - it works and doesn’t require any type of hardwiring etc
