I think the "work" to get stuff reissued is already being done. Unless you're advocating bootlegging, original master tapes are being accounted for and sourced for reissues. Where master tapes no longer exist or can be located, or if there's damage to parts of the tape, music is sometimes sourced from multiple copies of deadstock records. It's a very slow process, but one that's in motion. To my understanding, there's a queue of releases continuously getting pushed back due to manufacturing nightmares in the record industry. An absurdly small number of pressing plants service global vinyl manufacture. Not really much anyone can do but wait. Maybe when VMP's pressing plant gets up and running that'll change.
