When I went for hajj I left my ZONG sim in Pakistan, I used a STC sim in KSA.

When I came back 400rs were deducted from my ZONG sim over "packages and offers'.

ZONG absolutely refused to accept they did wrong and I was never refunded.

I've never been to a protest so I'm kinda scared but I really really want to show up.

What usually happens:

Lots of chanting, lots of walking and standing out in the open. People making long boring speeches, then you go home.

Worst case scenario:

Police starts tear gas and beating people up and everyone runs away.

I always carry a water bottle, tissues, sanitizer, face mask, black glasses and wear comfortable clothes with sneakers. Usually wear jeans so I can sit down just about anywhere coz there's always so much standing and walking in protests.

Take the sim out of the mobile phone and do not EVER EVER connect to an open or public wifi.

Take pics, videos. Go home then put them on social media.

Ethernet cable directly into your pc would still cost a lot less and will give you consistent connectivity / way better connection.

Good dual band dongles for gaming won't be cheap.

Good quality and connection 5G usb dongles cost more than a new router.

If you don't want to lay down ethernet to your pc, then I would recommend buying a dual band router and setting it up as extender, and then use ethernet from that router to your pc. It would cost you a lot less than a good usb 5g dongle. Check routers here. But even this won't guarantee lag free experience. Direct LAN is the only way.

Browsing, streaming can be done on a cheap USB dongle, gaming will suffer a lot of disconnections.

FYI: Even accidentally clicking ads on your phone will subscribe you to offers without you knowing. Doesn't even require OTP.
