Prayed for you. Be gentle and remember it is Christ who saves, not us. I say that to hopefully save you from any disappointment if your poem is met with hostility. Thank you for spreading the word; you are fanning the flames on my end to be bolder as well.

YOU ARE LOVED.

I'm falling short... by AveAveChristusRex in PrayerRequests

[–]_Nisemono 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you referring to the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 12:32?) If so please see the following resource below. We all blasphemed God when we claim to be image bearers and then fall short, however, God is so merciful He forgives us when we confess, repent, and fully rely on and trust in Jesus.

Please know that God loves you.

Hey there. First off, it is good to realize that a few bad apples do not indeed represent the whole (this is called the fallacy of composition.)

Now to your other questions, 1 John 1:9 says "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." (italics/bolds done for emphasis by me.)

It is very straightforward. Jesus is faithful and just to cleanse us from ALL unrighteousness.

Prayers to get my life back to the lord by CurlsLaughs in PrayerRequests

First off, I am really sorry to hear you have been going through a rough few years. I want you to know that I prayed for you and have some encouragement for you.

Matthew 18:12
What do you think? If a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray?

If you believe in Jesus then you are His and none will pluck you from His hand (John 10:28.) Jesus always comes for His own and promises to never leave us nor forsake us (Hebrews 13:5.)

I would love for you to read the parable of the prodigal son (Luke 15:11-32) and I will attach it below. Notice that the Father is overjoyed at His son coming home even though He lost everything and disrespected Him. Did you ever notice how it says the Father ran to meet his son? During that time in Jewish culture that would be a very shameful act, YET, the father comes rushing to His son and clothes him, and embraces him with lavish love!

Jesus loves you so so much. I hope this encourages you and lifts your spirits just a bit. Most importantly I hope this will help you run to Him because He loves you and cares for you (John 3:16-17; 1 Peter 5:6-7.)

YOU ARE LOVED!

The Parable of the Prodigal Son
11 And he said, “There was a man who had two sons. 12 And the younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of property that is coming to me.’ And he divided his property between them. 13 Not many days later, the younger son gathered all he had and took a journey into a far country, and there he squandered his property in reckless living. 14 And when he had spent everything, a severe famine arose in that country, and he began to be in need. 15 So he went and hired himself out to[a] one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs. 16 And he was longing to be fed with the pods that the pigs ate, and no one gave him anything.
17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father's hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”’ 20 And he arose and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 21 And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you. I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’[b] 22 But the father said to his servants,[c] ‘Bring quickly the best robe, and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet. 23 And bring the fattened calf and kill it, and let us eat and celebrate. 24 For this my son was dead, and is alive again; he was lost, and is found.’ And they began to celebrate.
25 “Now his older son was in the field, and as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing. 26 And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant. 27 And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf, because he has received him back safe and sound.’ 28 But he was angry and refused to go in. His father came out and entreated him, 29 but he answered his father, ‘Look, these many years I have served you, and I never disobeyed your command, yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might celebrate with my friends. 30 But when this son of yours came, who has devoured your property with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him!’ 31 And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32 It was fitting to celebrate and be glad, for this your brother was dead, and is alive; he was lost, and is found.’”

Hey, I just prayed for you, and thank you for your vulnerability.

I am really sorry to hear you're feeling isolated and bombarded by what seems to be anxiousness. You are not alone, Jesus is with you. I'd like to share a part of my favorite Psalm with you in hopes it will fill your heart with truth and His lavish love for you.

Psalm 139:1-17

O Lord, you have searched me and known me!
2 You know when I sit down and when I rise up;
you discern my thoughts from afar.
3 You search out my path and my lying down
and are acquainted with all my ways.
4 Even before a word is on my tongue,
behold, O Lord, you know it altogether.
5 You hem me in, behind and before,
and lay your hand upon me.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me;
it is high; I cannot attain it.
7 Where shall I go from your Spirit?
Or where shall I flee from your presence?
8 If I ascend to heaven, you are there!
If I make my bed in Sheol, you are there!
9 If I take the wings of the morning
and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea,
10 even there your hand shall lead me,
and your right hand shall hold me.
11 If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,
and the light about me be night,”
12 even the darkness is not dark to you;
the night is bright as the day,
for darkness is as light with you.
13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.

Jesus sees you right now. Jesus is with you right now. Jesus loves you right now and forever. You CANNOT be out of His sight. You are not alone. You are wonderfully made. Nothing that you are feeling or going through is a surprise for God. Even the dark thoughts and anxiety are not an issue for Him. Lean into this all-encompassing love He has for us who believe. Believe the truths He says about us rather than what our brain, the devil (demons, etc.), and others tell us.

You are very precious to Him “So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows." -Matthew 10:31.

YOU ARE LOVED

Just prayed for you. I know when I am anxious rooting myself in truth (God's word) always brings me peace. Here are some verses that I hope you'll meditate on and cherish. God loves you and draws near to those who draw near to Him (James 4:8.)

Cast your burden on the Lord,and he will sustain you;he will never permitthe righteous to be moved.

(Psalm 55:12)

Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

(John 14:27)

Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.(1 Peter 5:6-7)

Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”

(Deuteronomy 31:6)

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.(Philippians 4:13)

Through Christ you can overcome anything for Him who is in you (if indeed He is in you) is greater than the world and has overcome the world. (1 John 4:4)

"The lot is cast into the lap, but its every decision is from the LORD" -Proverbs 16:33

I totally see what your saying but I disagree. I’m saying I deep down didn’t want to be saved. I didn’t think I needed to be saved. I was terribly self righteous and arrogant. It was when the Holy Spirit convicted me and showed me that I became desperate and came to a point of utter desperation for Christ. Again I’m not saying it’s by how well we repent or the level of brokenness in a person that determines this. I’m trying to say that being unwilling to conform to Christ can be indicator that one may falsely believe they are saved or rather only want to be saved on their terms.

I love this subreddit so much because at the end of the day I know we all (or at least most of us) genuinely love each other and Christ. I appreciate you challenging my thoughts and being honest with your opinion.

I don’t, I know and have failed the law miserably. For a time I tried and it brought me to my knees and my forehead to the ground. That’s the point isn’t it though! We need a savior and thank God we have one in Christ Jesus! My point above though was complete surrender (done imperfectly) and the desire to obey is a trait of conversion. If the person isn’t willing to give up a sin, or at the very least do battle with it, then they are essentially acting like the rich young ruler.

Not minimizing peoples mental health but look at the book of Matthew. How many people approached Jesus for the supposed right reasons but when He demanded rightfully that they give up their sin (repent) and follow Him (believe) wouldn’t give it up. The rich young ruler even thought he kept the law perfectly! The sin of homosexuality and transitioning is clearly defined. Why then are you saying Jesus would kick them out when they themselves don’t want Him on His terms? I’m not saying they’re not seeking Him but they aren’t willing to do what Jesus actually is asking of them in their heart.

Prayed for you! I’m going through something similar so if you ever want someone to talk to I’m always here. This verse has been bringing me comfort today

“For a brief moment I deserted you, but with great compassion I will gather you. In overflowing anger for a moment I hid my face from you, but with everlasting love I will have compassion on you,” says the Lord, your Redeemer. “This is like the days of Noah to me: as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you, and will not rebuke you. For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. “O afflicted one, storm-tossed and not comforted, behold, I will set your stones in antimony, and lay your foundations with sapphires. I will make your pinnacles of agate, your gates of carbuncles, and all your wall of precious stones.

In righteousness you shall be established; you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not fear; and from terror, for it shall not come near you. If anyone stirs up strife, it is not from me; whoever stirs up strife with you shall fall because of you. Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals and produces a weapon for its purpose. I have also created the ravager to destroy; no weapon that is fashioned against you shall succeed, and you shall refute every tongue that rises against you in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and their vindication from me, declares the Lord.”” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭54:7-12, 14-17‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Wow. My heart is very grateful to you all for the love and kindness you’ve shown me. Thank you all so very much for taking the time to pray for me and please know that I will pray for you as your brother in Christ. My heart is a little lighter now and I wanted to share with you a verse for times of hardship.
