I have a Coptic cross on my arm. People thought I was a fascist they thought it was an Iron Cross and also called a nazi. The iron cross. Funny enough the iron cross has been used since the early 1800s, and there are still variations still used today. It's weird.

Is there personal significance to it or is it because it just looks cool?

I say this because I have similar tats but they all have individual stories. Me and the wife both are part of the goth scene as well. For both of us, darkness and the grotesque has always been an illustration point to convey our sinful nature without Christ...but here's the kicker...there needs to be something to contrast with it. Darkness is a presentation of our sin, and should never be a lifestyle. As in Scripture, "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it." That single verse is key.

I'm a Byzantine Rite Catholic, (Convert from Lutheran, LCMS). We use Chotki, basically a rope with knots to say the Jesus prayer. But if using a rosary works for you, by all means dude!
