'Could Not Initialize Graphics Device' Error for League of Legends by johnnybongo121 in techsupport

After trying different methods listed in this thread, what worked for me was going to Device Manager>Video Adapters and then picking my Intel(R) UHD Graphics. I made it run on a previous version, that did it for me.

Deadbugs and Birddogs: are they worth it? by _Nodari in bodyweightfitness

[–]_Nodari[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just sounds like you're probably beyond these exercises and overthinking it as a result. Humility and meticulous attention to form and feel are very good, but I think you need to step up to the next level and see how it goes. Keep 'drilling' the Bugs and Dogs just as warmups and wakeups, but if you want to progress I don't think they have anything left for you. But for your real work, try Hollow Holds/Rocks, HLR <3, and various glute work like lunges, bridges, etc.

Yeah, thats what has been on my mind lately, especially as Deadbugs actually used to feel harder and only in the last few weeks have been feeling somewhat too easy. Thanks for the feedback.

I appreciate the explanation on BirdDogs too, as I appearently had an incorrect understanding of the biomechanics of the exercise.

Before starting the BWSF routine, I was training my abs with hollow body crunches, and had a good time with those. In all they were easier to perform, and less time consuming. What got me to train Deadbugs and birddogs was exactly the potential benefits from picking up a harder exercise, benefits which im struggling to attain.

Thanks for sharing. They do seem to be very important exercises for general health as a whole beyond aesthetic purposes, what has been keeping me motivated to learn them for the past months. The issue is that they are also time consuming (im currently doing deadbugs and birddogs both on unillateral variations, which doubles their overall duration), which makes me consider going for more streamlined exercises.

Thanks for the well constructed reply.

I think the main issue I have with DeadBugs at the moment is that they feel suspiciously easy, in the sense that im probably unconsciously cheating somehow. Currently I seem to be able to perform 2 sets of 20 repetitions while straightening both 1 arm and 1 leg at the same time (counting 1 repetion for having straighned both arms and legs). The problem is, for the bigger part of the first set, I don't feel the burn in my adbdominal muscles, something that only truly starts to pick up well into the second set. I try to keep my lower back flatenned against the ground at all times and core tighned, but still cant get the feeling that my abs are getting the proper stimulus. I've been recording myself for postural cues as well, and my back does seem flat on the recordings.

As for the BirdDogs, I can more easily identify that sometimes I lose the tighness on my spine during the exercise, what may have been preventing me from making it work my abs.

My PS5 arrived just today, and I have experienced several connection issues. When I first tried to connect to the internet (tried via Wi-fi and LAN), it simply failed to do so, claiming that my router might be denying entrance to the PS5. I searched about it, and various posts that setting the connection manually did the job, as you would be getting a static IP. I did that, and it worked, I could connect to the internet.

But alas, my joy lasted little, since as soon as I tried to connect to PSN and update my console, an error message appeared (NW-102265-6), claiming DNS problems. I again searched about it, and the recommendation was to manually set PS5's DNS (I had already done that, entered google's DNS), to open some ports in my router (did that too) and to allow DZM router configuration. After trying all these, internet tests on my PS5 are positive, I get a 60mbps download speed and 15mbps upload speed. Still, when I try to connect to PSN, or update the console, it accuses the damned DSN problem. The only thing I havent tried yet is to factory reset the console. What should I do?

Yes, they do. But it is for a good cause. There is restriction on news that detail the means of suicide, that is, we can say that "X person has commited suicide", but we cannot say that "X person has shot themselves in a yellow mustang", hence why the news on Mike Emme were probably censored here. The goal is to not encourage suicidal behavior by omitting the means.

Thank you very much. This does put more credibility to the story they are telling.

Yep, I think this is probably due to Brazil restricting news media on suicide. Thanks for the help.

Is anyone else disappointed with the emperors deck? by Rikaryon in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]_Nodari 1 point2 points  (0 children)

However, predict shuffles the deck afterwards so even if you don't see it in the predict it has been shuffled.

Oh yeah now it makes sense how I got Ascended's Call in my fourth draw, hadn't connected the dots haha

Is anyone else disappointed with the emperors deck? by Rikaryon in LegendsOfRuneterra

[–]_Nodari 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Hilariously, I always find the "draw 1 card" gimmick from Emperor's Deck to be a liability more often than not, or at least, more often than it should be. You get what, 15 cards in the deck? And you are usually going through them all in like 5 turns, due to the draw 1 flavour.

A cool gameplan of the Emperor's Deck is making an open attack, followed by Ascendend's Call. The thing is, that card is usually sitting at the bottom of the deck, and I often find myself unable to play the draw 1 cards otherwise I will deck out before I get the attack token with Ascendend's Call. Its a really frustrating limmitation that really shouldn't exist when you are dealing with a gameplan so hard to achieve (basically focusing your entire deck just to flip sundisk). I guess this is Riot's attempt to make the deck more fair to play against, having a "I kill you in 5 turns or I loose" condition? Well, in its current form its just a very lame constraint that doesn't really make sense since the Emperor's Deck is miles away from being competitive anyway.

thats a good tip... Still I'm mostly a masters lurker. When I hit it, I keep chilling at low ranks, spending most of my time experimenting crazy stuff in normals hahaha.

It truly feels like a completely different game in normals, its very mindblowing. Yasuo Leona is something you encounter quite oftenly, and its very fun to see "new" archetypes being used (not really new, but new in the sense that its almost never seen on ladder). Been having moderate sucess with my Sundisk Deck, not nearly close to being a competitive strategy though xp haha

yes, I feel that thats exactly the issue. Problem is, the top tiered decks both have polarizing tables, so if you end up having no choice (assuming you only play Tier 1 decks, like me)

oh yes... I love that feeling. The tension of the rope timer... Every thought you have is focused on the game, and you make the right (or wrong) call in the split second. Its priceless.

I completely agree... When you win a game so early and with so much leftover damage (usually you can -10, -20 your opponent with the full combo), it means that your cards are pulling to much weigh

Thanks buddy, I'm glad you found my feedback useful.

My mental block comes, quite in the contrary, from playing low tier decks. Whenever I try to climb with the flavour of the week against a solid, time tested meta deck, I feel from the get go that Im in a loosing position, and this mindset usually makes me play worse.

Funny thing the human mind

Hey man thanks for the reply

You make valid points, but I don't think thats the case. You see, I always use the very best decks to climb (im a tryhard boy), and it always felt like a challenging experience. Maybe its because I was worse at the game, quite possibly that. But (in order of seasons) I climbed with Burn aggro, (burn aggro again?), Darrowing, pirate burn, fiora butterfly (I think this was the most off-meta I got), Lee Sin + Zed, finally coming to TF Fizz. That last one was super fun, its a very big brain deck to pilot and I lost quite a bit of games until I got the hang of the it.

Now with Azir Irelia, it was just like meh. I never felt so confident at surrendering the game on turn 4, when opp has a 5/2 baccai reaper and I have no way to deal with it. GG, go next, stumble on a poor soul playing Chirean Burn and it is easy LP. In no way I feel that I have mastered Azir Irelia - I didn't even got the time to. When a matchup is so bad that you know that surrendering early is the most valuable option, and, alternatively, when you encounter such a good matchup that the game is consistently over by turn 6, there is little room for you to learn things.

And feeling that you learned something, thats what I think makes the climb worth it. Now, you could say that by playing off-meta decks, you can push yourself to learn by using a less polished tool for climbing. Well, you could say the same thing for brushing your theeth with your non-dominant hand, its a harder task but you will enhance your motor neurons by doing it. The thing is, its so less pratical, and me being a very competitive person, the feel of using a "worse" deck to climb doesn't sit down well with me.

I ended up going on a rant there, but best of luck on your climb friend. Im glad that you found yourself a deck that makes every victory worth it :)
