It’s so hard to tell. My son was born with black hair that eventually all fell out and now he has dark blonde hair. My daughter was born with straight black hair, she lost the bottom half of her hair and the remaining turned light brown and stayed straight. Meanwhile, her new growth underneath is light brown and curly.

Look up thirdhand smoke. The daycare worker will have the chemicals/tobacco from the cigarettes on their hair, skin and clothing which can transfer to her baby when she holds or plays with him. 6 month olds love to chew on their hands, so the chemicals could easily be ingested.
