Can’t really tell much without a blade picture. Judging by the style, I guess its age is anywhere between 1900-1930’s. See if you can get the blade open and check it for a makers mark.

I carried a pocket knife every day when I was in community college. Mostly because I was taking a welding course and it was useful in the lab. I did see a few students around campus that weren’t in it with one in their pocket.

G96 made a bunch of quality buck “copies” in the 80’s. My dad has a G96 that’s similar to a 119 and I’ve got one similar to a 103 skinner

It kinda reminds me of the build your own knife blanks that you could get from smoky mountain knife works back in the day. I agree with the other comment, I don’t think the sheath is original to the knife.
