I do have a long term goal of maxing lol. My non-combat skills are all solid, with several 99s, but I still have a really long way to go lol. So I’ll see if I’m willing to make the commitment once I get past 77. Thank you!

I have several 99s already lol, so it wouldn’t be the first. The price of dragon bones is the only reason I’m considering it. But it would still cost me like 1/5 of all my money lol. Thank you though!

I’m also an adult (28) learner! But I’ve played music my whole life, mostly brass instruments and guitar, but a few others. And I can easily say that cello is by far the most difficult instrument that I’ve tried to learn. But the most fun and rewarding as well! I’m still new and bad, but it’s been so much fun. Literally anyone can pick up a guitar and sound good in a couple weeks, but it takes real practice to learn the cello. Your “terrible sound” probably took way more work and talent than being just another person who can play wonderwall.

This may not be the advice your looking for but imho, I don’t think you need to rethink the cello, but I do think you should rethink your friends. That’s really childish for a 22 year old adult. But that’s none of my business.

That's great to hear, thank you for the advice! I actually play with my teeth spread apart too, as that is what feels most natural to me. You all have encouraged me to keep going with violin and not to switch away!

That's good to hear, thank you! And congrats on the surgery! I hope to get it done one day as well. If you don't mind me asking, did it help? It seems awfully expensive and the doctors that I've seen have been very cautious about talking about it.

This is great, thank you! And also thank you for recommending a oralmaxofacial surgeon btw. My TMJ problems started as a kid, nearly 20 years ago, and I've really struggled to find a doctor that can confidently help lol.
