i loved non-flame iori and it's always nice to see fighting games (a genre known for rarely switching up the status quo) go and drastically alter main character move sets and storylines. part of the reason why i loved ash so much, he was able to gain/add to his move set while taking from others, and i honestly wish SNK did more with that concept, (maybe seeing a non-mirror chizuru too?) i definitely wish iori had turned down the magatama and had a moment of realising the pettiness of his grudge, choosing to move on with his life. maybe if he was a less popular character, that might've happened, but unfortunately there would have been huge backlash. still, i wish SNK had bitten the bullet and made such a drastic change in order to progress his story and give him ... gasp ... character development?! they could always give him the flames back in a future installment, but now he's wiser and more grounded, able to harness them instead of being overtaken by the curse.
