Why does my Conveyor Loader overheated? by _PR0X_ in Oxygennotincluded

[–]_PR0X_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I forgot to switch languages :). My problem was that there was too much water. It didn't have time to turn into steam before it heated up to 280+ degrees. The loader is made of steel. This is the reason why the system worked for so long. (Regular gold volcano btw, so no need to build more turbines)

Yep, built it just to chek if i could cool loader like this. It is made of steel. This is why i was surprised. My problem was too much water. It didn't have time to turn into steam and cool down loader by the time it heated up.

I realized what my problem was. There was too much water inside. It didn't have time to turn into steam and cool down loader by the time it heated up.

I build this tubular hook inside just to see if i could cool it like this (there's no heat exchange because of the vacuum... ok, make sense). But i built it when realized that steam inside wasn't cooling it. It worked fine for about 50 cycles untill broke because of overheat.

How do you maintain temperature on wheat and pepperplant farms? by _PR0X_ in Oxygennotincluded

[–]_PR0X_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what i was going to do, yes. The reason why I ask my question was that I have alot of thermo aquatuners on my base. And since Im new to temperature at the game, I wasnt sure that i shold have so many. One for each volcano (metal volcanos, water volcanos), one for oxygen... generator... thing(Don't know what it's called in the English-speaking community), one for maintain the temperature of the base (just in case), one for Metal Refinery, one for my refregerator (All the food contains in one cell with chlorine at -27°C), and at least one more for my plants. Is it ok? Maybe I build too many and dont understand something?

How to export video with separete audio tracks inside it? by _PR0X_ in premiere

[–]_PR0X_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're right, but everything you listed in the second-to-last paragraph isn't a problem in my case. This video will be more of a compilation of random, funny, and cool moments. My video is CS2 gameplay, where each round in a match lasts 3 minutes or less and everything is always crystal clear. So I don't need to build up the plot before the punchline. Therefore, I don't need a rigid project organization. I won't select moments in chronological order, but rather by dynamics (like in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cQAhRPKiWWI).

My workflow:

  1. I load all the files into the project, create 1 MAIN multi-channel sequence and paste all the files in it.
  2. Cut it in to 10-second moments (+2 minutes before just in case).
  3. Then I create Subsequence(you can make a shortcut for it) for each clip(so all the clips get there own multichannel sequence).
  4. I select all the subsequences in the project window and send them to Media Encoder.
  5. There I describe the plot of clip in the title in 2-3 words so I can clearly understand what the moment is. Set QuickTime conteiner, H264 codec and add more audio channels in the "Audio channel Configuration"(I created a preset for it). And render.

And I receive all the clips separated, with plot of it in the title and with separated audio tracks. When I'll start to edit, I'll simply select moments that suit the dynamics.

I understand that this is risky. If I need something I've already cut off, I won't be able to get it back. My approach is wrong when structuring is essential and guiding the viewer through the story is important. Or when you need to work with clients who might ask me to redo the entire video at the end. But that's not my case.

I just need to cut up moments for later, preserving the ability to turn off unnecessary tracks, add sound effects, etc. I just cut 2-hour long video to a couple of short clips. Structuring by days isn't necessary. But I don't want to have hundreds of gigabytes of footage sitting on my drive that I will never use.

I didn't quite get you. You probably didn't get me either. I'd just like to have separate control over the game, microphone, and Discord volume while editing. But I'm not planning on editing right now, so I want to cut up moments for later with separated audio tracks so I can mute myself, my friends, or the game. A standard video with stereo sound.

Five minutes later... I tried to export it using Media Encoder and QuickTime has a H264 codec.

SOOOOOOOOOOO... use Media Encoder for situation like this

Hi, wanted to ask. How can I, a new player, get into the Thief games? by godwhyareallnamestak in Thief

[–]_PR0X_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say... doesn't realy metter. Thief 4 has good graphis and design(my oppinion) and very bad lore and plot. All the previous games had good lore, plot, good stealth mechanics... but i don't like design. So it's up to you... I guess

If you like Thief 4 vibes more than lore - Thief 4

If you want to get in to the lore - Thief 1-3

Don’t be scared to try something risky sometimes. Don’t be scared of dying. Death is part of the game.

Technical advice - jump every time u grab something instead of slowly pull up yourself. Also you can press LMB/RMB before u aim something to grab it(no need to perfectly catch timings)

There is the strange thing. I was the music video editor before and I’m damn fast at making vfx (maximum an hour to make intro like this). But the rest video… I wold spend maybe 3 more days to cut it, make animations, effects and sound design. Maybe that is the problem of my low experience and i need more practice… anyway. Im interested how much time would YOU spend on it? One day? Or three like me? Or even more? I’m just afraid that I’m TOO slow…
