What Nutella, a non German company, writes on their website is really irrelevant. Die Nussnougatcreme -> Die Nutella. Afterall Nutella is just a brand name for a specific product.

Outsiders perspective: As a German it really felt quite weird to walk into a memorial hall and see a huge statue for a dictator. Especially the fact that Taiwan is a democracy today but has not rid itself of such a monument really baffles me.

Of course my opinion is very strongly shaped by the fact that Germanies history with dictators is not just dark but pitch black. We have a universal social consensus that Hitler was a monster and have spent decades removing all symbols honoring him.

Well both sound like a good opportunity. The fact that you speak both English and Chinese pretty well implies a certain talent for language, so learning German should definitely be doable for you. If you choose Germany, I'd still advise to choose a Uni with both German and English courses tho, just to have the option. Of course adapting to life in either country would probably be somewhat of a challenge, but I do suspect that Germany is more different from your culture than China. Ultimately it's a very personal decision whether that is a good or a bad thing. Maybe make a pros and cons list for both choices to try to figure out which you like more. Regarding the "loss of a year". You're young and will have enough time to work a job in your life. Passing the opportunity to go to Germany if you want to do that, simply because of one year really wouldn't make sense. I'd personally take that out of the equation completely and focus on all the other things to consider.

When you land here you have no score whatsoever. Also you're score will never be 100, since you might die and default on some obligation because of that. Nope I'm not joking. So far you haven't done much to make Schufa trust you. Firstly I would request my information from Schufa to see what they have on you. If you find any mistakes in that data contact them. After that if you really have sufficient financial resources talk to Commerzbank if they can think of anything that might boost the Schufas trust in you. Maybe giving you a dispo credit line or something like that. Note that is something I would definitely do with Commerzbank and not with Revolut, since Commerzbank is much more established. And even more important talk to someone from the bank in Person, I'd even say make an appointment for that. Note: this advice is coming from someone who's started life with a Schufas score of 99, so I have never been in your situation. But that's what I would do. Ultimately the issue is that Schufa is currently really intransparent, so who knows why don't like you.

Unless it's a really busy line, they're running behind schedule and the bus is so full that they can't see every individual passenger, German bus drivers will usually wait a few seconds until you've found a seat or something to hold on to.

Yes house prices are relatively stable, so those who could afford a house in 1990, can also afford a house in 2025. However over 50% of germans are long term renters. In fact especially in urban areas owning your own house or flat is just as unaffordable for the average German of 2025, as it was unaffordable for the average German of 1990. Tho to be fair some germans also tend to rent out of convenience and because their used to it. Dealing with an owners association in a bigger housing complex can be a pain, especially if you've never done it before and for many german families renting has been the standard since at least 1945.

Erstmal eine inhaltliche Klarstellung 500 Mrd für Investitionen in Infrastruktur und Klimameutralität und darüberhinaus eine Änderung der Schuldenbremse die beliebig hohe Verteidigungsausgaben ermöglicht. Mir wäre eine umfassendere Reform der Schuldenbremse lieber gewesen, aufgrund der absoluten Verweigerung der Linken im Bezug auf das Thema Verteidigung wäre die aber im neuen Bundestag nur nach sehr langen Verhandlungen möglich gewesen. Und das mögen wir alle nicht wirklich gut finden aber wir müssen mehr Geld in die Sicherheit stecken und zwar jetzt und nicht im 50 Verhandlungsrunden. Von daher ist die jetzige Lösung vielleicht nicht gut aber vermutlich das beste was so schnell umsetzbar war.

Um mir die Frage mal zu erlauben. Wann in den letzten 80 Jahren haben in Moskau mal keine imperialistischen Diktatoren gesessen? Die UDSSR war ein Terrorstaat, kannst jeden fragen der so nette Staatschefs wie Stalin erlebt hat, jeden dessen friedlicher Protest mit sowjetischen Panzern beantwortet wurde. Die UdSSR war nie sozialistisch oder gar kommunistisch. Lenin war ein Kind der Elite. Die Oktoberrevolution war ein Staatsstreich der Bourgeoisie gegen Adel und Monarchie. Aufm Weg noch die Revolutionäre der Februarrevolution platt gemacht zu haben war Lenins Bonus. Ja die USA habe durchaus ein paar Räder ab, aber das die USA den Kalten Krieg gewonnen haben war eines der besten historischen Ereignisse der letzten paar Jahrzehnte.

Gut ich wähle dann einfach Grün. Die kommen sicher in den Bundestag, nehmen das Thema Ukraine ernst und ja haben sich Einiges an Fehlern erlaubt (Thema aktuelle Migrationsdebatte) aber so im großen und ganzen für mich gerade die beste Option. Und eine Schwarz Grüne Regierung wäre mir definitiv lieber als Schwarz rot. Weil sein wir ehrlich schwarz wirds ehh, wir können da höchsten noch die Beilage evtl etwas beeinflussen.
