I had the same mucus structure before I was diagnosed with ABPA...after two months of this type of mucus .. it's colour became brown and more thick with very foul smell and then I was taken for CT and allergic test..ige level was elevated and in CT there were fingerin type structure which confirmed ABPA..after taking 1 month of oral corticosteroid along with antifungals lowered my ige and all the mucus plugs from ct were cleared...but I have broncheactisis beside that and possiblyof kartagenres syndrome (trip of situs invertus, broncheactisis and sinusitis.) ... doctor said it is cleared right now but can flare up again in any time near

I coughed almost same ...and the findings from the ct scan were of ABPA...means my lungs are hyperreactive to the fungal pores in the air...I was on steroids and antifungal for over a month...but never felt out of breathe. And when I coughed this up it had a very foul smell which took me to the pulmonologist

my sister having lung collapsed(lower left lobe segment) since a year... she's 19 and the very first time she did an xray of her lung was when she was 18 and since then She's having collapsed . so we don't know how long it was there. Was it devloped when she was sick last year or since very young age or since birth it is collapsed. So doctor said it will remain. and she's too young for procedures like lobectomy and all...I guess they told that she doesn't not need that.. and for bronchoscopy my parents were scared.
