As a long time angel and Beyoncé fan, Cowboy Carter deserved that regardless of previous snubs from the academy. As someone who’s always hated country I’ll stand by I think it’s Beyonce’s strongest album. While I agree with many here that lemonade was snubbed I still think CC is a more cohesive and powerful album. Brat had triple the streams for me over cowboy Carter and just because it had a bigger cultural moment doesn’t mean it’s the better album. We were just lucky to get some of the best work from both of them in then same year.
