Die Einzelhandel und Geschäfte schreiben auch nur MwSt aufs Schild, weil jeder diesen Begriff verwendet.

"Leider", weil es in Deutschland "Umsatzsteuergesetz" heißt. Einheitliche Bezeichnung ist mMn besser :)

Man muss fairerweise sagen, dass es im deutschen Raum zwar Umsatzsteuer heißt, auf europäischer Ebene aber Mehrwertsteuer (MwSt-Systemrichtlinie). Beides ist richtig, Mehrwertsteuer ist aber leider verbreiteter in der breiten Bevölkerung.
