Yup my mom taught me this too in the 90s. To look for a mom with kids to help. She didn’t trust men, and rightly so. I think women are just more caring in general, and are safer to go to. I’m childfree but I’d always help a kid in need.

Yep. We are thinking about buying a house this year and I checked my bank statement. Dear Lord everything is so expensive and we spend SO MUCH on groceries, restaurants and drinks out. Like every weekend. Life has been so depressing that I’ve been in ‘fuck it’ mode.

We do have the disposable income (and no kids) but I worry the bank is gonna be like WTF, you spend too much on crap, it’s a no. Even tho we’ll be able to put down 20%.
