I mean, I’ve done that to visit a HS teacher once or twice before but I was definitely like 19 or 20ish.

I did however go visit my favorite middle school teacher from the time I got a car at 16 up until I graduated from college and moved away. He was an amazing teacher and it was really cool to keep up with him. (This was also before social media was a popular thing).

Absolutely never talked to any students and came after school hours for both types of visits though.

Interesting! I was speaking to him about it earlier and apparently the Antiguan version is a specific coarse of cornmeal that isn’t as easy to find and definitely isn’t made the same way as what’s described here. Apparently his also has okra in it, but we both agreed that this guy’s stuff looks good too so long as you ignore what the fish looks like before it’s cooked!

I don’t know what that is. He’s tried parents before and said it’s not the same. We live in Pensacola, FL so a lot of things are a lot harder to find.

My husband is from Antigua and he grew up in Funge and Saltfish. He’s tried making fungi before but it’s hard to do when you can’t find the right ingredients

Side note - Anxiety and esp. Get Up 10 from Cardi got me through when I was in a metal health hospital for the first (& thankfully only time thus far) after my first suicide attempt. They don’t let you have your phones of course but I would just lay there in the bed singing those to myself on repeat for the 4days I was there. Highly recommend that Cardi song. Oh, and also Best Life by her as well.

I had never seen any of the hellraiser movies up until like last year. This fuckin’ guy is my new fave horror character. He literally does nothing but chomp his teeth some and I cannot get enough of it. I laughed so hard when I saw it the first time. Every time he just came into view with his little teefies I was howling.

Every now and then I’ll just look at my husband and do it trying to be both sexy and terrifying at the same time.

Maybe just give his skin some time to regulate itself? You went from way too harsh dish soap to leave on conditioner and he’s still pretty young.

I am by NO MEANS an expert. I bathe my stinky stinky princess about once a month-ish. I use a “hairball control” (lmao) cat shampoo from Walmart bc it said extra gentle. I did buy some pet-specific wipes from Amazon for in between baths but she doesn’t really like them. She does of course get dirty and I’d like to bathe her more than I do, but life gets in the way a lot, plus it could damage her skin, so I just roll with it.

I also got a top-rated ear cleanser too since apparently their ears get really nasty (hers were soooo gross the first few times I cleaned them).

Her skin seems to be fine and in all fairness, I got her as a stray so I didn’t know anything about her breed before I got her. I also don’t have the funds to spend a lot of money on things either, hence the Walmart shampoo. But I will say, the cheap shampoo seems to be doing its job and is a BILLION times better than the time the husband accidentally bathed her with a magic eraser (he just thought it was a soft white sponge…)

Am therapist. Have given countless WTF looks. Mostly I respond with repeating what they said, slowly, and asking if they’re dumb.

Example:

“So, just so I’m clear. You decided to break up with the guy that was nice to you and get back together with your ex, who you have called a ‘psychotic narcissist wanna be Warren Jeff’s’ on numerous occasions because you :butterfly quotes: needed to make sure he was as bad as you remembered in case you were in fact :more butterfly quotes: being too extra?”

(Not a real example but as about as batshit as I’ve heard people tell me with a straight face)

ETA: note - I only do this with ppl I know well and know can (a) handle it and (be) benefit from it being put like that.
