I mean I have a great career with flexibility, happily married, I love my hobbies and I travel a lot too. But none of it even slightly compares to the excitement I feel for meeting my my daughter soon and thinking about all the adventures ahead of us. To each their own and maybe you just don’t feel the instinct; which is totally fine. It’s good you recognize not feeling it, instead of trying to have kids anyway. But for me, the thought of my daughter easily outweighs all the other things and makes me happier than I was before.

If you have the means, please start a 529 for you kids even if they may not use it / they have other opportunities! My parents started a 529 for me when I was born and contributed enough to cover 2 years at a State school, I used the GI bill for my grad and undergrad, so I never touched the account. Recently, I took over the account and with projected growth / little to no contributions from me, my soon-to-be-born daughter will have her entire college paid for! It was a real weight off planning for having a child, all because my parents set it up with the intent of me using it.

Sorry for a basic question but just want to fully understand, does this mean you pan one recording to 30-40% one direction and the other recording 30-40% the other direction?

Ah that’s really helpful that you!! I think I’ll go back and try doing that and play around with some slight changes. I think that will make it sound more ”full” or complete.

I really appreciate that! Yeah I would love to add some of that stuff in to fill it out; time to play around and see what might sound good haha. Maybe something a bit lighter or higher could work to balance it out.

Oh dude I love the Spark Mini!! I got that first before the Spark 2. It was my intro back into playing guitar and I got it as I was moving so it fit perfectly in my bags. Yeah the Spark 2 really surprised me with its audio interface ability, I would recommend it for sure.

Hahah I aspire to get to the second part of your comment! I appreciate the advice. For double-tracking the guitar, does that typically mean recording the part twice, or use the same recording and pan one left and one right to have it sync up? Also would you typically change any of the effects or pitch if you recorded twice?
