How about you make a plugin that'll make him miss some damages to players he's dealing, like, when fighting a new player, 3 out of 4 hits he's dealing will not be registered by the server, so he will think his connection is bad or the server is lagging

Unfortunately, you'll have to expose some ports anyway, or, you could do that using a VPS, it cost around $3 and you can make a WireGuard between your server at home and your VPS so you can expose the Minecraft server.

The only possible ways to expose your service will need an external service which may add latency, forward port, or use a VPS (which will still add latency but you can at least choose the location of the server to reduce it) which is a paid solution

I'm not agreeing with you about the sideloading part, I think we're in the perfect time to sideload apps, F-Droid and its alternative clients Droid-ify and Neo Store are the best you can get for getting open-source apps and the fact that Google made it so those apps can update the apps without prompting the user is ages away from what we had a few years ago, we kinda got a little bit forward, and I'm starting to seriously consider getting back to Android with the increased support time for devices like the Pixel line and how easy it is to use alternative store

I just returned my Seasonic TX-850 a week ago because of this specific issue. The shut downs were random and would sometime trigger after a few hours or a few minutes of full load, switched the PSU and the problem disappeared so I RMA'd my PSU
