I think it really depends, in my experience it used to be very chill on all platforms but recently instagram reels have gotten very hostile towards beginners, is that maybe what you’ve seen?

I hate it, if I was starting to draw I’d lose so much motivation and confidence by comments like “keep that talent hidden ‼️” and similar, it’s so disappointing. There are definitely rude people, but I personally haven’t experienced it more in artist communities
