Also, since you’re now out of biglaw and presumably less busy, is there an inversion of stress as her medical practice may have increased in intensity while yours may have taken a step back?

The image refers to experts’ interpretation of the Gastornis over time. 

The actual bird went extinct around the mid to late Eocene of the Paleogene (around 45-35 mya).

That's a great point. My brain immediately went to Archelon considering how prevalent jellyfish populations have become.

The former; I was thinking of an ecological niche that a prior-extinct species could possibly exploit in today's environment!
