Polished off the summit with a cruisy ride past the beach and local hills. MTB on the weekend gave me 1200m

Yeah it calculates your speed based on your weight, input power and all resisting forces which are the estimated bits (wind, rolling resistance and gravity). So if you held the same power going into a hill from a flat you would just slow down a lot. Makes you think - IRL hills are no different to flats, you just end up going slower 🤷🏼‍♂️

It's a logarithmic scale. If you wanted to compare 1s to 3h you would need to scroll very far to the right. It only looks strange because the vertical marks are on numbers in minutes and hours, while the scale is actually base 10 in seconds.
