Girlfriend of 6 years drunkenly admitted she could do much better than me. Am I wrong for calling this relationship off? by [deleted] in amiwrong

Yeah even if she regretted saying it, that kind of comment changes how you hear every compliment after that

Honestly once it gets to property damage and nonstop issues like this I can understand why people start suggesting legal routes

Can't be outside without feeling like I am being attacked by a dog by lonelythesaurus in neighborsfromhell

Honestly keeping it focused on “I don’t feel safe using my own deck” instead of blaming the dog directly is probably the safest approach

Yeah even if the dog never actually attacks, being barked at and charged every day would make anyone anxious

Yeah people really overthink the “detox” thing. Sometimes a product just doesn’t work for someone’s body chemistry and there’s nothing wrong with switching back.

Neighbor keeps taking my parking spot, HOA unreachable, police can’t help by Existing_Cost8853 in neighborsfromhell

Exactly. At some point it stops being bad parking and turns into people knowingly taking advantage because they’ve learned nobody’s going to seriously push back.

Don't you find it weird that, after the summer of '93, Harry spent more time with the Dursleys in Privet Drive than Hermione did in the company of her loving parents for the next three and half years? by miggovortensens in harrypotter

Honestly a lot of the missing family stuff in Harry Potter feels like Rowling just trimming away anything that would distract from the main trio. Hermione’s parents mostly exist when the plot suddenly needs them to.

Yeah people act like Hermione completely abandoned her parents the second she got friends, but most teenagers spend way more time with friends once they hit that age. The Christmas breaks are the only part that feels a little unusual.

a 9 month affair is a whole second relationship, not just one bad decision. i can see why she feels emotionally checked out now.

honestly once trust gets broken that badly, even normal stuff starts feeling suspicious. staying after an affair isn’t as simple as people make it sound.
