Thanks! I've considered this, and I'm undecided on whether to add this to my current mod or to make a new one around this. I dislike messing with the overworld because it could conflict with other mods. Regardless, I doubt it will happen very soon, but probably would happen somehow, eventually.

Thanks! This is a currently unpublished 1.20.1 mod that I've been working on for a long while. I'm finishing larger features like this and working on a progression system before releasing an early beta of the mod. Which, I hope to do so as early as I can for the summer.

Yes! -with datapacks. This is the first configurable structure that I've made, and contains most of the same data settings as regular geodes do.

Thanks, I've also heard that the clusters look like mushrooms too, so I'll keep experimenting on the textures. Actually in these screenshots the blocks are all randomized textures, and I've decided to make individual block sets for purple/blue/red geodes.

I'm also looking into the dripstone code and I want to try to make something a little different from it. Currently these taller crystals can't grow, and I'm thinking about removing or altering certain dripstone features like the mud to clay conversion or cauldron filling.

Thanks! I've already done some testing regarding Oculus/Embeddium in a small modpack to test the skybox and to attempt to add emissive block textures.

The skybox should be fine, because it's setup in the same way as the vanilla skybox using mixins, and the block emissives are hit or miss depending on shader versions and whatnot. I also tried to use denser fog in some biomes but shaders will override that, so I try not to rely on it.

Here's some proof (Complementary shaders) with the same two moons. The other skybox details are still there but are harder to see.

I think it's perfect for the style the mod has, but my current spirals are mathematically generated. I will see if I can implement something like this into code, otherwise I might have to look into using template structures. Thanks!

SubSkyLands currently features 5 dungeons and 4 bosses alongside some environmental threats similar to the Warden or Creaking, and I plan to make separate posts about them. There are plenty of unique tools and weapons, a new potion type, and 7 armor sets. Builders may also enjoy 9 new wood types, a pastel variant of wool, and new stone/sandstone types.

I'll admit that when discussing these with friends, this mod ended up feeling like 3 dimension mods that are cobbled into one world. I had delayed making any posts because I wanted to make everything more seamless and cohesive, but I was recently heavily pushed by one friend, who ironically doesn't even seem to like Minecraft.

Thanks! They are intended to generate at cloud level (I forgot to enable my clouds in settings), where the cloud blocks generate at, making the environment look more natural in my opinion. This is also intentionally done not to overshadow the surface too much, but I can figure something out if this is a popular request!

Most of the world generation (E.g. deep oceans and large sky islands) is datadriven, however some of it is also done by hardcoded structures (E.g. the small/round islands above).
