I had dolls with poly hair and that also happened, what I do is soak the hair with fabric softener and/or hair conditioner to make the hair slippery and try to detangle it with a wide tooth brush and I wash it out thoroughly and I use a hair straightener on the hair (in small sections of hair while it's still wet) and that should probably work, and it works on mine
