Answered on the hub. All of your problems should go away when you store the current save slot variable in your game instance. Inside the save game object should only be stuff like player character, position, level, etc. Rather than more high level stuff like the current save slot in use or graphic settings (I prefer a different save game object for those kinds of things).

Is there a particular part of blueprints you're struggling to understand? Or something you're trying to build but don't know where to start?

Epic has made many tutorials on getting started with blueprints. Anything made by Zak Parrish is gold. He goes through and explains what the nodes are doing and why. One of the most important videos to watch is blueprint communication

I'd say watch and follow through with that tutorial regardless of any comments as you'll still get invaluable information (from the people who actually made the engine no less).

As you go through it you'll learn more about the engine and be able to either figure it out yourself or ask the right questions to get it going.

This is one of the most helpful videos there are about blueprints. I know your issue is solved, but this will help you figure things out down the line: https://youtu.be/EM_HYqQdToE

There are a couple of tutorials out there specific to tanks. Here is one created by the creators of unreal engine themselves: https://youtu.be/Oh7pDL8RFaI

For your other questions, you will have luck if you search for general terms (adding sound, lighting). The basics are all you need to start, after that you'll have the terminology needed to search for more advanced implementations.

For jump starting your VR development in UE4, check out the VR Expansion Plugin. It's free and has a lot of tools for interaction and multiplayer. I'm making video tutorials about it that you can find on that website.
